So @AndrewWx you’ve been waiting even longer for any updates and are at the one month mark now.
9 months is a wee bit too much for me. I have heard about long delays for certain lenses and camera equipment. I know some of the new Nikon Z lenses got held up for a long time because of the pandemic. I believe the 70-200 was super late. But an amazing lens according to all reviews.
As for these M1s, I would imagine they are going to see a lot of cancellations as time drags on.
I also was unable to find out where I was in the queue. A few days after my order, I wanted to know if I could also upgrade the SSD thinking it will cause a bit of a delay. But nothing like this.
The store rep was like, “No, no! I strongly recommend you don’t do that!”
When I asked why, he mentioned I’d lose my place in the queue. When I asked where I was in that, he couldn’t say but told me things would be very messed up if I made any alterations to my order. When I asked about a possible delivery date, he didn’t know as he had no info to work with.
So they know this is going to be a rough one in terms of order fulfillment.
I wonder if it’s going to be like ordering an iPhone. Over the years, I’ve had some very long and drawn out dates given to me. But then all of a sudden it gets sent earlier than expected.
Hoping there is a chance for that here. I really don’t want to be out of a machine for over a month or 2.
