Anybody Playing My Town 2?

If I jailbreak, will I lose all my progress on the iPad? The same ID on my iPhone is not the same as the iPad bc Ive put my attention to the ipad one. So will I lose it all and have to go back to where my iPhone is if I jailbreak?

I was able backup everything and restore it once complete. Just realize that rumor has it apple is releasing a new ios next week and that one won't be able to jailbreak for a while.

Also this comes without warning that I can't guarantee it will go smooth. It has been mixed from all the reading I did.

You backed up your mytown from your iPad and it restored it exactly the way it was before the jailbreak? Also, if u jailbreak you can't get updates ie new iOS correct?

you back it up in itunes... if you want to keep it jailbroken you can only upgrade the os once it's broken. 5.1.1 took quite a while for an untethered version. I can only imagine ios 6 will take even longer

I wanted to say this, and I bet Melzzzy will probably agree, but don't feel like you need to gift us because we franchise you. We enjoy the game by franchising you. Feel free to use those gifts to help others. Not that I don't appreciate the gifts but I don't need them and others can use them.

I totally agree with splats re the gifts. I am sure there are many others that need the gifts more than I do. Although I do appreciate them.

Wow, a lot of posts today!

Many, many thanks to Melzzzy, Sheehlb01 and other kind folks (in case I missed any) who franchised me. I managed to get Mt. Fuji earlier today... and I'm enjoying every second of shakin' it! Collecting rent is so much easier now, PLUS it greatly reduces the chance of mis-tapping on my screen and upgrading a business by mistake.

I'll see what I can do to help other folks get the Foojee.

u03d - thanks a bunch for taking the time to explain the mechanics in Post #3545. Looks like I'll have to get some high-pop businesses to reap maximize yield from the others' franchising efforts.

My tuppence worth would be to get a few higher population businesses (scroll back a few posts, I've explained how to get some of these businesses from booyahtopia for 1buck). If you get the Four Season's and Macy's I'll be able to franchise you for coins (my town is located in NYC) > I see your still trying to clear some land. For these same businesses, if say Melzzzy franchised you it would cost her bucks and therefore you would get bucks (maximum 50bucks).

If you're looking to get Mt. Fuji whilst it's on sale I suggest you take my advice from my earlier post and 'instant' build these businesses then kindly ask for the help from the kind hearted RH's on here.

oh I'd also suggest you join mytown2.net > it's a forum dedicated solely to mytown2 > I've gotten so much useful information from there.

I emailed Booyah once already and got a reply for more ways to earn bucks but unfortunately my requests most likely won't happen, although I was pleasantly surprised by how quick my response was from Booyah and the guy I spoke with told me we would tell his team about my suggestions! All I know is that after they cruely gave us 2 days of "shake to collect" I shake my iPad all the time like an idiot hoping it will do something but no... now I have to get a ridiculous amount of bucks to get Mt Fugi to be able to do that. I am totally willing to help people out if they need when I can! All I know is that at the rate I am going it is going to take a century to get the bucks I need to get a pixelated item on a game without spending 25 or more REAL dollars on fake ones.

Aw that's great, I just franchised it for approx $250K coins, let me know how much you get for it (I'm hoping its around $50K).

Oooops did I say Macy's? I meant Saks Fifth Avenue, it's at the front near the 7-eleven and banana republic. If you get that I'll be able to franchise you for coins. After that I suggest you start getting some of the San Francisco businesses (and eventually buy them all) then join mytown2.net and put a request in this thread for help > everyone on this forum are SUPER helpful.

Can I pl suggest that people use the signature facility and add both their ID AND their town name.

I have so many people added as friends it is easier to search names to franchise after adding otherwise I have to go into each town and check the ID to see if I have you on there. I am sure Splats will agree?
