Hey everyone. This forum has been pretty informative.... Unfortunately, I figured out late, that saving bucks was important. Now I'm capped off at level 50, with no other way of making them, except the daily lottery! And I just figured out from reading here, how franchising works, and how to get higher popularity franchises from other locations.

Hopefully, Booyah will update to more levels soon, and get rid of all of the glitches.

I'd appreciate any advice, and or bucks, franchises, whatever. And I'll reciprocate.

Hello All - Did anyone play the original MyTown?

Hello Everyone,

I'm new to this forum, but have been playing MyTown2 for a few months. I was wondering if there are any folks from the MyTownies.net community on here?

There is some good information on here regarding strategies to make lots of money and build cool towns! There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of cheats/tricks for MyTown2 like there were on the original, but having fun figuring it all out.

Making "My Town" into a real town

I think he means, since he originally said "send me a gift and I'll franchise you" he's been bombarded with gifts and he can't keep up with the franchising for all the gifts since he's gotten tons and tons

I'll take a break from buck begging since I've got a nice amount now...nothing crazy but enough for me to do what I want and make the game more fun to play.

Is anyone else trying to make it like a 'real' city? with neighbourhoods and stuff? I'm trying with mine...i need some more land right now because stuff is bunching (i got a little purchase-happy) but it's getting there.

Yeah, I've done that. Honestly, after one day of having 75 stock exchanges and all offices, there was no more need for coins. Got rid of all that junk, and used the bucks from franchising to buy up some appropriate wonders and assorted finishing touches. I have six distinct neighborhoods, which mimick Long Island, New York City, England, Kentucky, Las Vegas & Miami. Once they release more land, I'll be continuing with Orlando and maybe Hawaii. They also need to give more options of things to build. Just a few off the top of my head: tractors, chain link fences, water spaces (like the paved road so you could choose the size), bridges, log cabin, neon signs, cattle ranch, etc.

I'm actually pretty happy with how things turned out. There are still businesses I want, like the Apple Store and Caesar's Palace, but just running out of room in general. I am happy with how I was able to use some of the wonders, i.e. Eiffel Tower, Sphinx & Pyramids, Weebo Circus & Statue of Liberty towards pimping up the Las Vegas section (Paris Hotel & Casino, Luxor, Circus Circus & New York, New York respectively). The game itself is pretty addictive, it just needs to grow. These holiday / big event promotions are a good way to keep things fresh but now we need to double the amount of land and get rid of this level 50 cap / get in more items to choose from as referenced before.

capped off as in level 50 is the highest, but you get a buck for each level up so if you can't level up any more then you don't get the bucks.

by the way you can also get free bucks through tap joy, and the little people that walk around needing help sometimes give bucks.

When you reach level 50, in stars, you no longer earn the green bucks because you can't go higher than that level.... You can still get a couple of bucks from people (I think) or one per day, with the daily lottery, if you check in daily.

You still get coins from your rent and businesses.

A lot of people are waiting for the game to update to allow more levels because it becomes really boring.

If you're just starting out, my advice to you is save the green bucks, and check into local towns and franchise other people's businesses. The more popular they are, the better.

I am at level 48 in check ins and 36 is the number next to my population figure. I have bucks from people franchising from me. Are you saying that when. I reach level 50 from checking in and finishing jobs that I cannot earn bucks when people franchise from me. That is the only way I have earned bucks. I have over a billion in coins. I am just confused.

Just Speculating on Next Land Expansion 8X8

Remember each of our towns began with 2X2 or 4 plots of land? The next row of lands that could be bought were 3 on two sides or 3X3. Followed by the next rows of 4X4, 5X5, then 6X6. Jan 19, it was increased to 7X7.

Assuming Booyah will follow its last expansion from 6X6 to 7X7, the next land expansion will be 8X8.

I added up the cost of the 7X7 rows of land and came up with 17.5MM coins.
The first 3 plot coin amounts are best guess, the rest are accurate.
730,000 1st plot
830,000 2nd
930,000 3rd
1,030,000 4th
1,130,000 5th
1,230,000 6th
1,330,000 7th
1,430,000 8th
1,540,000 9th
1,650,000 10th
1,770,000 11th
1,890,000 12th
2,010,000 13th
---> 17,500,000 Grand total coins to buy all 7X7 plots of land

I'm only estimating the rising cost increments, but for the 8X8 lands, the total needed could be in the 50MM range. Having come up with this number, I'm accumulating at least that many coins so I'll be ready to expand my town. What do you all think?

Yay for fun Friday! I want a green buck for every errand I run..It's not myyy fault they don't know where to find clothing! and they never remember when I show them anyways..lol!

Level 50 No More Bucks & Blue Stars (Exp)

Snoopy1967: You mentioned you are now at level 48 (#842). Level 50 is the highest anyone can go.
1.Prior to 50, each time one goes up a level, one is awarded some bucks. Since 50 is the highest, no more bucks are given.
2. Also, when you reach level 50, the blue stars will no longer be added to your total. Towards the early start of this forum there were a number of postings by people who also said their blue stars count had frozen. We're all waiting for Booyah to add new Levels since early Dec, some perhaps as early as November.
Bucks obtained in other ways, coins, and population counts will still rise.
