I just changed the look of my town, its fun to do so when you have a lot of coins to spend....I love to put small details in it to make it look more real....I think I would like to live in the town I created...I would live in the castle....:)

Hi guys,

I'm just rebuilding my town from scratch, after being stuck in "training mode" for 6 weeks! BooYa were kind enough to give me some bucks to get me going, but I still have a long way to go!

It's good to have this forum for some pointers, I remember reading it way back in December when there were only a couple of pages of people not sure of what to do, this thread has come a long way! I'm still not sure if I should be buying businesses or franchising though? or a mix of both I guess. I already franchised from and gifted a couple of people on here, thanks for your help :)

Congrats & kudos to your town. I admire all of you. It's alot of fun here. I've been on here bt a month now. I would love to help with the nutty Irishman but I am broke agin pretty much. Almost back square one but had GREAT day buyingjust wanted to stopmby and say, kudos!!!!!

Yes I thought your observations were cute. Still trying to make more rounds. My town would benefit from some expensive cars. I would be the first in my home community in so il to drive a lambraguini ..(spelling ..?) I will bee bop over in a few......bUT I am broke and willmhave to save for awhile. I invite you and fellow mayors to check out nt town and stats.

You dont have to buy anything.. I just stopped over to visit :) You have a beautiful collection of mansions ..I would like a Calf store but I'm thinking in my case..it might be cheaper to just get a ticket to fly out there myself and buy it for coins...haha! :) good night :)

Q-all.you mayors that have the space gizzmos, just what and how do they work for their purpose? Is it a 1 x deal per purchase? Some of you have ALOT!!!
I am immortal 49 Xander I have several check-ins tomcomplete, lots of land to buy. Mympopulation is about 294,000+ so how/what benefit would the space gizmos do? Any other ideas or suggestions on obtaining pop a faster or easier way? Gift pop. Are GREAT....injust understand the space gizmos....??

If you send gifts of coinsz, how many coins do get?

If you stop by and franchise someone, what determines how many
Bucks/or coins the recipient will receive?

Sometimes I read, I've received x Amy coins or 400mbucks
B. Or up to 3100 bucks? Is it bases on %'not that franchise?

I only skipped a day (or two)? of this thread and I fell behind by pages! Moving fast....

That's clever, jennyroo. I never thought to look at the premium skins... I brought up that salon because Loomis is a tiny 6K population town that we drive by on trips from San Francisco area to North Lake Tahoe.
 
I discovered that when I turn off the Location Services for My Town 2, I don't get an option to select a city. Instead, I get placed in New York, NY. This works out well for me in that I can franchise NY businesses with coins. :)

Does this happen to others when you turn off the Location Services?

Sorry guys, but I either may or may not franchise for you depends on how many gift boxes i currently have when i see it... or if I have already taken a liking to you then i'll franchise :p

It's far too overwhelming and time-consuming for me.

So was franchising those who gifted me and the gifts were endlessly piling up. It was taking too long so I just gave up. I just counted the gift boxes as i opened them. Guess how many I had stockpiled in about 20 hours? A whopping 57 Giftboxes, too many for me to do :\

So... you may or may not gift and I may or may not franchise you back.

Here are my thoughts:
A high popularity business will bring in higher coins per job than a low popularity business. It will also boost your town's overall popularity number. Now, if you franchise a business, you also get the franchise bonuses associated with it. For example, if you look at the image you can see that franchising this business (I think it's from your town) would give me the bonuses of free jobs and an additional 50% in income per job.

The free jobs come with all franchised businesses. But the income bonus varies.

Oh, and if you're associating "high popularity" with the "town", I don't think it plays a factor on the franchise bonuses for a business in it.

Obviously, there are many who read this thread, but haven't spoken up... :D 57 gift boxes... that's a good number. :)

But I do admit that Booyah has made accumulating bucks a pain. I'm looking at the cost to buy bucks now. For $4.99 USD, I would get 45 bucks and it wouldn't get me much at all now. For $99.99 USD, I can get 1600 bucks. Now that will be enough to buy the specialty business skins, special community items, and wonders. But that's only enough to franchise a business of about 13000 popularity.

By the way, 1600 bucks is about what I receive when one of my higher popularity businesses gets franchised (thanks again).

Now, I have paid the $4.99 early on, in support of the game, but I think I can find better things to do with $100.

Brigid: Sorry, I cannot look you up in Game Center. I can see the leaderboards, but that's about it. There's no search function.

You should see the Game Center icon on your iPod/iPhone/iPad (sorry, don't know which device you're using). It is an app, just like My Town 2, Music, and Settings. If you don't see it, it might be placed into a group (along with other apps). You may want to just reach out to your son and ask him where he hid it. :)
