YarnGoddess - Congrats! You're a Member!

YarnGoddess: It is a wonder to think about how much time we're on this forum. But it's fun and we are interacting with real people.:)

*knocking laptop screen* you all ARE real, yes?

LOL... you're absolutely right. Closing costs? Hahahahaha!!!

Uh... that would be me.

Hey! I've posted enough - I'm now a member!

(and my pouch is about to be created... and I don't mean that thing called my floppy abdomen)

The Dark Side

(heavy sigh)

I've done it. I've changed all my businesses to offices, have about 10 stock exchanges, and also put in the pyramids. Is that right! Wow... I hope so.

Now I feel like I'm majorly cheating, but I do need the bucks. Oh well. :(

Shhh... I'm actually a bot. ;)

YarnGoddess - naw, you're just working the system!

YarnGoddess: I have a nephew who in real life has a knack at finding all the loopholes and taking advantage of them as long as they aren't illegal or immoral. We're only doing the same. And you're among good company!

(that's what I was afraid of *beep*)

bigbridge59: Just to make your decision more difficult, there are rumors that #3 will be released on March 7th.
I too am thinking of getting an iPad with a bigger screen so I can finally find my Cupid. LOL!! But seriously, I've had the opportunity to use an iPad1 and I loved it.

I'd love all the bells and whistles of the 3 that is sure to come with it, but I do not require super-duper capabilities, just routine spreadsheets, word processing, play a movie, web browsing. So I'm thinking once the iPad3 comes out, the older iPad2's price will drop. BUT, my concern is the 3 correcting any shortcomings of the 2? Does anyone know?

From what little I've heard about it, it won't be worth the extra money. I'd buy either the first- or second-generation and save the bucks.

iPad2 vs iPad3

Thanks! That's useful to know...I'll have to watch the pricing for 2 more carefully now...

Yay :D

I sent in a request to Booyah about the upgrade button being moved to the Stats page instead of leaving it right under the 10 hour job window, due to the fact that even tho I hit the 10 hour job, somehow it made me upgrade my business instead. Booyah responded with a refund, AND also said they have sent my suggestion to their Devs for consideration of moving the upgrade button. I really hope they do move it, as it would solve alot of frustrations of the accidental hitting the upgrade buttons.

Now I have just done the location thing and have franchised from 2 places, within the "Golds" limit, (not enough green bucks to franchise still, sorry) and will probably try to find some more as I go along. I know it isnt much, but well, I was happy and I wanted to "pay it forward in what amount I can afford" to the Forum posters for the sole purpose of franchising some really good popularity businesses. :)

Cheers,

YarnGoddess: Errands and Still Able to Get Them

YarnGoddess: Now that your businesses are all offices, you can still get the coins (and occasional surprise bonus), by acting quickly. When you see the balloon for e.g., the salon, quickly remodel one of your offices into a salon. Tap to accept and close the remodel window. Then tap the errand balloon. Then tap the 'salon'. You will still receive 755 coins.

One exception: Occasionally, instead of being allowed to tap the revised business, a message pops up:

in brackets --> [improvement] where is the salon?
below that, a clickable box ---> buy one now

If you get this message, you will not be able to collect the errand coins.

This makes me wonder if Booyah is working on taking away this alternate ability to collect on errands.

(heavy sigh)

I'm totally confused. I thought by changing everything into businesses and putting in the se's, when my jobs were done, I'd get more coins than if I had left them in their original state. Did I just spend my land money for the wrong thing?

solsville and bigbridge

to solsville:

yeah i always get that notification in different languages :) usually in spanish and german :)

to bigbridge:

if he's still keeping the business he franchised from u, u can find him. i wrote about this before but i don't wanna try to find that post right now :)

go to your own stats and click on the business he franchised from u. and u'll see his name :) click on it and u'll be directed to his town :)

Sharazani - Thanks for Alerting Booyah

Sharazani - And yay that they replaced your mis-spent Bucks! btw, the problem has also been addressed in Solsville faq/wishlist page, but adding your voice makes it more apparent there is a problem.

The dilemma for Booyah is that it must make it hard for players to earn Bucks--no doubt hoping that players will spend real money to buy them. But where is the line between 'just hard' and 'almost impossible' to get bucks, is the question.
IMHO, As players, we should spend some money--it gives Booyah revenue and a reason to work on the game, keeping it alive for us to play.

YarnGoddess - You did it right

YarnGoddess: You did it correctly--buying multiple Stock Exchanges and remodeling all your businesses into Offices. Each SE increases revenue by 20%. By having multiple SEs, it will be 20% compounded on each one. If a business normally gives you 100 coins and you own 3 SEs:
100 X 120% = 120
then
120 X 120% = 144
then
144 X 120% = 173
and keep going for each SE.

That's why people buy gazillions of SEs, I think someone said 75 of them.

I was referring to the little white conversation balloons that randomly pop up--have you seen them? These are called "Errands". You tap the balloon and it will tell you someone is looking for something: the park, the hospital, the taxi cab stand, etc. The errand can also ask for a business type: salon, clothing store, restaurant, etc. And when you tap what they are looking for, you should have received 755 coins and blue stars (but at level 50, vanish).

Now that your businesses have all been remodeled into Offices, you can still collect on the errands when they are looking for a business by doing a quick remodel on any one of your pseudo-offices into what they are asking for. After the coins are added to your bank, you can remodel it back into an Office.

I am sorry that I caused confusion. lmk if I still don't make sense to you.:)

These new movie award items are perfectly in theme for my California section, and of course Booyah puts them out with NO new land expansion.
