Hi, Im new to this forum, but I thought I would join, and say how much I enjoyed reading the tips and such.

I have a question. Has anyone ever had a "DUMB" moment where they accidentally hit the "upgrade now for $$$ bucks" on a business when they meant to hit the 4 or 10 hour job? I just had that happen the other day, 70 green bucks gone, a business now level 9, and must now wait a few weeks before I get enough for a wonder I really wanted The Eiffel Tower..
I was just flipped when that happened, so I tried to restart the whole thing so I can do better from scratch. Alas they wont let you restart the game from scratch.

I dont have much, I sold over half my business because they were really low, and so trying to find high popularity businesses in gold coins is not easy. I will be trying out some of the tips of the location things so I can find some high popularity business from anyone if I can :D

Eeeeep!! Wow that is nasty. I sent booyah a complaint about it and request they send a update with moving the upgrade business to the Stats page, rather than have it on the jobs slot. So I hope to hear what they have to say about that. Dang, would have been nice to not have lost that through the accidental upgrade button. I just managed to get some green bucks back doing the tapjoy and free bucks thing. It does help a little.

Thanks to the forum's existence and all who posted about the good tip about having multiple stock exchange, I do see a difference in gold collecting for the offices :)

But in my boredom over MT2 the past few nights, I put together (for no reason in particular) image compilations of the different types of business skins. very useful, even for those of us who have played a long time!! what I'd like to see added is WHICH of these r premium skins...

I'm trying to collect as many premium skins & I often ave to go back & forth to double check.

I'd also like to see all the different people & cars (that I seem to b missing, lol) for anyone who wants to put the time in:D

should we start posting our cities??

I'm getting close to maxing out my town plots (w/ out utilizing the stock exchange trick... so every 2 days or so, I'm able to buy a plot of land) & have started to really pretty-fy my town!

as always, anyone who wants to franchise for bucks or coins... :cool:

& thank u to the regulars CANDYLAND & GraceGirl have been SO super helpful!

I can't get my last "goal" completed (check in to a cafe .25 meters) even when I was standing IN Starbucks.... :mad:

I guess I can see if there r any business & buy, change it to a cafe, then sell again.....

Stock exchange...

I'm giving in. I don't like how to stock exachanges and offices look so I opt for the other wonder that's cheaper but for entertainment business income increase of 20%...entertainment business gets more diffeeent regular skin to choose from...but that wonder (the name is too long for me to remember) taken up so much space though compare to SE...now that a chunck of my bucks just gone I'm gonna at least bank on more coins more quickly....building 16 SE now...

If anyone have extra bucks to share, please franchaise from my town! Much appreciated! I will send gifts (population ok?) in return (but I only have 5 gifts a day... :-( )

I was stuck on that one too. I searched around for a business that was within 25 m, and then built it, and checked into it. After you check into the cafe, you have to check into all the other types of businesses, hence why I built the business.

To do this, I went into the check in page, and up the top, where it says "search" I put in one letter, and saw what came up. It offered a whole lot of other businesses that don't usually show. So go through the alphabet until you find one :) then go into businesses and type the name into that search.

And no, you don't get an award, because there will always be more goals, every time they update.
 
Different Franchising Percentages - Why Different Ones?

I'm bumping Aw5768's question. I also wondered about the different percentages given and couldn't figure out why.

Anyone have any ideas?

I mean, on my lower popularity biz (roughly 1k) awhile back, someone franchised me, I got a 25% bonus for it, someone else did too and I got another 45% for it. Now, on a muuuuch high popularity biz (roughly 15k) when someone franchised it, I get a 5% bonus. why the different bonuses?

I thought it was in an earlier post...difficult to search on my iPhone. Correct me if im wrong. If I remember correctly, it depends on the level of the business. A level 10 business will give you 50% bonus while level 1 gives you just 5%

Good evening, I think Barracuda or someone else answered this like 10 pages ago. :) The percentages are thought to be related to the level of the business. That's 5% for every level, for a max of 50%. So if you franchised a business of mine, I would see your name in my stat next to 5%. When you level up your franchised business to 2, I'd see 10% and so on....

In the attached image, you'll see that three people franchised the business. The wealthy (MT2 Billionaire and Lammieville) have fully upgraded the franchise on their end, so I get the 50% bonuses. Townville has upgraded up to level 6, which give me a 30% bonus...

On the other hand, if you're looking to franchise a business, the bonus percentage you see for a business in someone else's town should correlate with it's level. So, you should see a bonus of 35% on a level 7 business.

The thought of designating the premium skins did occur to me.... after finishing the compilations.... :( You're right, though. It would be better to have a little buck symbol to show which are premium skins. I just thought it'd be nice to be able to view all the skins at once, so I'd know which I want in my town.

Only if people upload the images and lets the forum automatically create thumbnails for them. Pekman-sized images are too big. :)

PEKMAN: You can attach images to your posts and it will automatically be converted to a thumbnail. Or are attachments not allowed for new members?

Sorry about that :p

When I clicked on the insert image button, it asked me to insert a URL. I thought that it would automatically make the picture smaller, but as we can see, it didn't.

UPDATE:
Oooooo, I see. OK, next time, I will try to use the attachment option instead.

No worries. I just figured you didn't know. In fact, I used the insert image feature early on, as well... But I always resized my images first. :)

Nyteowl, thanks for the post...makes it easier than people having to dig for old responses. That is an accurate answer, explained clearly. The percentages and business levels are something a lot of players don't get, and which certainly stumped me at the beginning.

Okay Yogi, so you want to know about location switching...

Everybody has the ability to manually change their location once, and still be able to revert to their GPS setting. The way to do it is simple: close out the game, go into settings and turn off location services, then open game back up and hit the check-in button on the lower left. It will prompt you to manually put in your location. You can pick anywhere in the world and gain access to that area's businesses. Once you turn location services back on, you'll be seen at your "real" location again.

You only get to do this once as location services going off in the future will prompt the selected location to be triggered. BUT, you can fool the system. If you want to pick a new secondary location, you have to delete MT2 and reinstall. Don't get scared! Just delete the app...it will tell you all data will be deleted...stand firm, and when it asks if you want to "keep" or "remove" the game center data, hit KEEP. Now reinstall, and rinse and repeat. You get to manually select new location with the location services off. Best of all, nothing is lost...even the jobs you were doing will still be in progress. Viola!

A few caveats with the delete trick...don't do this if you are on low battery or are in an area with poor reception, as you could lose your town. I would also recommend not doing it from an I-Pad as at least one member was unable to restore their town.

I can confirm that it is totally effective on an I-phone 4 or 4s and players with I-touches have not had any known problems...at least I haven't heard of any.

TO change your location manually you need to turn off location settings in the settings thing in your phone. Then go in and out of the game a few times. Then go into check ins or where you can search nearby towns, and it will say something's like "this is a location based game. Please choose your location manually or turn on location settings." there will be a box to type the town in the town you would like to be in's name.

But I think someone posted that booyah shut this down and made it impossible.

In the IPOD under settings, do you turn off the GPS tracker only for the MT2 APP itself of the button that turns off all of the GPS to ALL the apps, and it also says turning off this will not let you be able to find your IPOD if lost?
I am thinking you just hit the button on the MT2 app and shut that box to off?......Thanks...;);)

In daily lotto, I was paid in coin today? :mad: First time ever. Any one know if it because I am switching locations? I am spending time in NY franchising, from you guys and having location services turned off. Just when I figured out how to get as much coin as I want, they take away my much needed "buck". Ughhhhh.

Three possibilities:

1. You missed logging in for a day. That will set you back to coins until you reach the buck threshold (like 3-4 days).

2. You won a Booyah random jackpot. For it to be in coins instead of bucks, it would have to be a pretty high number. Like at least in the 6 digit range, and accompanied by a blue screen.

3. Random glitch...these do occur in the system from time to time.

Fun glitch from the other day...so before Booyah changed population gifts from 850 people to a measly 175, Pekman left me a gift at my Domino's Pizza. I open it, get my 850 peeps, then see another gift. Not so unusual, I do find multiple gifts left on a business from time to time.

But this second gift is also from Pekman! Open it, more peeps, see a third box. Rinse and repeat. I ended up opening a record 8 gifts from Pekman containing population. So what was intended as a gift of 850 people turned into 6,800!

Thanks again for that Pekman. ;p
