I'm getting the s7 edge early next week, I'll keep my 6s plus for a few weeks to make sure I'm happy with the Samsung but my intention is to swap over to Samsung this year. All the talk of slow updates doesn't really bother me as I change phones at least every year anyway

Switched from 6s Plus to Galaxy S 7 Edge. Edge is far superior. End of story.

that is subjective to opinion... I dont want to turn this in to a apple vs samsung debate, both devices are great in their own right... But when you factor in device + software you cant just say one is far superior. end of story...... I think each device serves different individuals needs/wants... so that makes it subject to individual opinion.... for example I flirted with switching over to a samsung S6 edge last year and lasted a week and a half before I came running back to my 6 plus.

$60 T-Mo downpayment definitely has hampered my plans. Not worth t when jumping in my opinion, as I'll jump to something else soon enough.

I do all the time! Then I switch back and forth all the time too!

I have both the 6s+ and S7 edge. Love them both and switch between all the time. Today I am using my 6s+ as my daily driver. Tomorrow? who knows which phone I will be using. It's the best of both worlds.

This is exactly what I do. Could be a week swap could be a day, could be I just carry multiple devices instead ...

The S7 Edge by far is the best Samsung device I've owned, but I don't compare it to my iPhone 6S+ (or other androids) because contrary many of folks on da forum thinking, the two devices live perfectly in harmony with each other.

It's people who have issues with the different devices, the devices themselves don't give a s**t

I'm considering switching carriers so I'm currently debating the 6S+ to S7 Edge move also. There's a lot to like about both phones so it's a difficult decision. I'm weighing out a few things I'd lose moving over versus the sexiness of the Edge and I haven't made up my mind yet.

Thats an odd comment lol, of course the devices don't care they are not capable of feeling anything.

it fits perfectly in that context. The only ones who care are the people involved and their preferences....the phones don't care who uses them! :)

I think the stock Samsung browser is top notch, the best I've used on any droid device...

I just tried this on the S7E we are testing, and added the content blocker. WOW! Nice browser for Android, very fast and minimalist in all the right ways. Thanks for mentioning this, I had been using Chrome previously and was annoyed at all the ads.

I'd love to do this as well but too bad I lost all my whatsapp and bbm chat history if I switch device, which is a deal breaker for me because I need that for my work. I wish both whatsapp and bbm use the same cloud service on android and ios for chat backup, which currently they don't.

It's a lot smoother than chrome and firefox on android, but lack features such as desktop sync, reader mode, and open link in background.

Can't believe that a simple messaging-app is keeping people from switching.. Its 2016, theres tons of good
equivalent apps that you can use for the same purpose. And to be honest most of the people out there should have whatsapp on their phone by now. If not its pretty simple to just invite that person with one click.

I do the same thing. I had a Verizon model S7 Edge. I got rid of it because of the false screen touches on the edges when holding it. All other carriers had a software update to take care of it, but when I threw in the towel Verizon had not. Also I could not get Google Music to use the memory card for storage. I had a galaxy S6 before and I really like the Iphone/S6 style to hold. Much more comfortable for me.

Thats easier said than done for people who are not well versed in technology. Alot of people have grandparents who are heavily invested in FaceTime and iMessage, moving them to another service is simply not feasible since no other service offers the equivalent ease of use.

Im struggling against it... I was in a computer store few days ago and played with S7E. Damn it is gorgeous and attractive. The size is perfect and doesnt feel like a ping-pong bat.

Can it be more easier than skype? Just one app instead of two.

Only issue with my S7 edge is after a while I stop getting twitter notifications from guys I favourite where in my iPhone it's unlimited

Which is a big deal for me as otherwise you have to just clear all every now and then

Ok. So let me put it this way. If your not 100 years old and know a little bit how a smartphone works I don't see this as a problem.

People just love imessage though. On IOS 10 I really like the new improvements and what it does and will look forward to using it with my family for example. Imessage working great with my ipad for one is why I find it tough to leave. It just works and is very smooth. It’s hard for people to switch due to the OS.

I do find that the lockscreen widgets are very good and and I enjoy that improvement as well. Overall I like IOS better to TW and it's why iphone is my daily driver ahead of my S7 edge.

Yeah I do, think it's better but android has come a long way but I certainly prefer the OS with my apple devices. Just seems smoother as well. Think I could live i without android if given the choice but I'm glad I do have that choice

The Edge is a much nicer looking phone and much sexier. The OS on the 6 is much better. What everybody really wants is OS 10 on the Edge. I like my Edge but will be looking at switching back next year if Apple comes out with something good. Switching on a whim is simply to expensive to justify doing it often.

Hard to say right now if I could only use one or the other. If you are familiar with Android and aware of what it does and doesn't do I would give the Edge an advantage. Although syncing this thing with a Mac is a pain. If you are willing to put up with that then day to day browsing and use should be around the same on either device so the one with the nicer screen wins here. The Edge is a very good phone and IMO for the first time there is something that can actually replace an iPhone with out too much pain.

I will be following both companies in the future things have become more interesting lately. If Apple puts out an OLED equal in quality to the Edge or better than it will be an easy decision to go back. The problem is that it is an awfully long wait.

Let's hope when they release the new phone in September they give us some other goodies or I am running out things they Apple can sell me at this point.
