Same error with the Apple Card. Tried reentering it a couple times and it eventually took it. I thought maybe I just had entered the code wrong, but seems like it was on their side.
 
Yeah I had issues with my Apple Card as well. I switched to another more popular bank and then I got an error saying Citizen one denied my application. Which is weird because I was pre approved Tuesday night I believe. Well 15 minutes later an email comes in with my confirmation number and says it was an upgrade through IUP. Sooo I guess I am good??? Have an order number and everything.

Yes I had an issue placing my order, got an email after it went through saying “Citizens One has detected the Extended Fraud Alert” and that they’ll call me within 24 hours. Annoyed as I already did this on Wednesday when I got preapproved. A guy just calls me and says “hey did you apply for a loan” and I said yes, end of call.

Hopefully my reservation spot went through at like 5:02 and not this afternoon whenever they call for approval.
 
Was getting declines/errors and even your application denied using Apple Card. Finally used another card and went thru. Noticed ship dates slipped to October but pick up on the 24 available. Took that instead. I live 10-15 away from Apple store.

They usually want to take your phone while you’re in store and if you have to reconfigure any MFA related accounts you may need both phones for a bit to update those. That’s why I prefer shipping.

Really? Uh I’m not waiting for all the stuff to definitely go transfer. Don’t they send a box home

Same here. Already did the pre-approval and phone call, and now I’m waiting for another call. Honestly I was a little on the fence about upgrading to begin with, so if this means that my phone will be delayed for weeks I won’t be happy. Can I cancel in that case and just keep my current phone without causing any issues?

Nah. Last 2 years I’ve been doing in store pick up. They just hand new phone and I’m out. I wait till I get home to open and set up. Last years I didn’t even send previous phone back as I ended up reselling the phone. Paying off citizen on that loan and making $150-$250. This year I wanted shipping because my wife just started maternity leave. So she will be home next 3 months.

Apparently there is a mix of experiences. Heard from some users at work that Apple immediately took the phone because the restoration started from their iCloud accounts.

I'm on Support chat with Apple/Goldman over this. I was ready at 7:00:01 and got to the end by 7:02, started getting CC issues. Here's what the rep said: " <Myname>, at this time Apple is having the actual issue with their website that is not allowing customers to preorder, we talked to Apple moments ago and their systems are down, informed to keep eye on your emails for updates to come."
 
Chatted with an Apple Card team member at Goldman Sachs about the Apple Card issue and not getting the 3% cash back because of the technical issues with using the Apple Card. They told me there is nothing that payment cannot be switched unless you cancel the order and reorder.

Rep from that same department told me that it's an issue on Goldman Sachs side. Of course these reps have no idea what the actual issue is. What an embarrassment for Apple Card.
 
Same issue here. Finally just used a different card and it went through fine. 3% would have been nice on the up front payment. I will just change my payment for future Citizens One payments.
 
I feel better now, Apple Card wasn't working and says I was denied. So just ordered one outside of that. Guess I am out of the upgrade program now.

This makes sense. I assume you will wait until the phone is your hand before making this change to avoid any cancellations? I chatted with Apple and they said of course it has to be cancelled to be changed so your idea makes sense!!
 
Same issue here Apple Card kept giving an error then it said loan was rejected, tried with a separate card and it went through 🙄
Extra/early iUp payment from the delayed 12 launch + full tax on the phone up front + increased Verizon/ carrier upgrade fees + no Apple Card 3% cash back = Pretty annoying experience this year

Been trying since 8am EST - now its 1110 AM - tried different cards, different iPhone configurations, etc still no luck
i either get card auth issues on multiple cards, citizens application issues or product not available errors...
not sure what to try next
