I was pre-approved with AUP and Apple-Card as payment, that failed like everyone else, so changed cards, now got another message about extended fraud alert and have to wait for Citizen's One to call me again....so my phone will be long gone by the time that happens at some point. I have an order number but it wont process until Citizen's approves again.

What a **** show. Just like most everyone else my Apple Card wouldn’t work. Used a different card to place the order. I’ll prob end up canceling the order so I could get the 3% back on the upfront fees once the card issues are resolved. Silly of me to expect my APPLE CARD I’ve had for years to work in the APPLE STORE APP purchasing an APPLE PRODUCT ON A PRE APPROVED TRANSACTION. F me right?

I just used a different card. I'll switch back after my monthly payments resume. It's frustrating and frankly bushleague that this issue happened. My worst pre-order experience yet, and I've done them all for as long as they've been an option for an iPhone. Sucks.

Yup, barfed for me so since I have to wait a month-plus now, I just cancelled my pre-order to clear the loan and will go into an Apple Store in a couple of weeks and see what all four colors of Pro Max look like in person and then decide if I want to stay with my planned Sierra Blue or choose a different color and do the upgrade then (either in-store if they are in stock or just place my order for home delivery).

WOW, I feel sorry for everyone having problems with their Apple Card. I did the Pre order on Tuesday, at that time there was a hold placed on my Apple Card for $92.04 which is the tax. At 5 am pacific time I went to place order but I had to keep returning since they were not ready. at 5:01 I processed everything through my Apple Card, It went right through. Got my confirmation email at 5:02. My confirmation shows Verizon of course is charging me the $35.00 upgrade fee but otherwise everything went totally fine. I wonder if from some that they still owed payments on a previous phone. My 11Pro Max was originally processed through Citizen One but was paid off over a month ago. I am just assuming that this time it is not going through Citizen One but through the Apple Card itself like my last Ipad was. It just states Apple Card Monthly Installments 24 months, 0% APR

Do we know for sure that people whose orders were put “on hold” will end up going to the back of the order queue when they finally get approved? The model I ordered will be at least a month wait at this point if that’s the case.

Well, the Citizen One approval email just came through. Hasn’t taken effect on the Apple side yet. Let’s see what the damage is.

My approval email from Citizens came in around 7:30 this morning, after initially receiving two denial emails when I attempted preorder twice with my Apple Card a little after 5am. Since all this started the order status stayed on Order Placed, but I checked about half an hour ago and it was updated to Order in Progress, and with the same release date delivery. Hope it sticks.

To answer my own question from above, around 5 hours after making the initial order I received an email from Citizen’s saying that my loan had been approved (I didn’t have to talk to anyone else on the phone after all). And about an hour later I received an email from Apple saying they were processing the order for delivery on Sept. 24. So all of these delays didn’t affect my delivery date at all.

I hope that is the case for me, i got my approval letter over an hour ago though and still in pending.

My order showed October 6th to 11th, by the time I was able to get my order through and the approval from Citizen One. Delivery was updated Saturday to September 24th. Have a tracking number and everything now.
