I bought an 11 and loved it but also just picked up a 12.9. Like many others I found that after certain amount of time holding it in left hand and swiping with right while watching TV in the recliner my left arm starts to fatigue. Since that’s the one that I had rotator cuff surgery on, don’t want to mess with that. The smart thing for me is to keep the 11 but I am going to compare side by side this weekend using news+.
If there is not too much difference displaying my favorite magazines, will keep the 11. I like the 12.9 keyboard and some websites obviously show more content, but there are also some websites that look better on the 11.

Does it help if you rest the bottom of the iPad on your legs and just use your left hand to steady the iPad? That’s how I use mine if I’m in the recliner.

Hmmmm, 4 days after making the jump from 11“ to having both of them...
I use the bigger one more often when I‘m at home or at the office. It‘s also not a problem to take to a café in the Neighborhood.
When I sit at a desk it‘s definitely nicer to have the big screen. But when I‘m on the sofa like right now, I kinda miss the intimacy of the smaller one. This big setup with keyboard feels a lot like a limited MacBook (I actually prefer iOS for all text related work because of the provided focus.).
I RARELY use the tablet without the keyboard just in my handy like I did with the small one. It‘s just better in horizontal mode.

Dont know what to think of it yet. I really like it, but whenever I take the small one into my hands I love how portable it is.

Also I have yet to find ONE task, that I can do much better on the bigger one. It‘s just a matter of comfort for the eyes to be able to see things bigger from a bigger distance.
Sometimes I watch a movie and takes notes on the side, for that, the big one is definitely better suited. But besides that.. hmmmmm.

I actually went from 12.9” to 11”.
The light weight and mobility won me over, though I do miss a little bit the higher resolution screen.
It’s not higher resolution though, just bigger. Both pros have the same PPI.

PPI = pixel density

same pixel density on bigger display area = higher resolution

12.9" 264 ppi: 2732 x 2048
11" 264 ppi: 2388 x 1668 (diff AR)
10.5" 264 ppi: 2224 x 1668
9.7" 264 ppi: 2048 x 1536
