Will you look at getting a Galaxy Note II

Not interested in it or like products for that matter. Too big for a phone, too small for a tablet and it has a stylus...who needs a stylus?! :p

Anyway, I currently have an iPhone 4 but planning to get an Android phone and the Nexus 7 in the coming months. Don't feel like the Note II satisfies my need for both.

Yes. For some time now, this what I have been wanting. Awesome phone and the stylus is the best part.

Definitely not. The iPhone is just a few weeks away, and it's going to steal the show.

Just smile and wave at those who bought the Galaxy Note. Just smile and wave.

I find it funny that people who aren't interested or know the won't buy one actually came in this thread anyway....

I'll be waiting a couple months down the line, but this is def on the list

Well, the thread is a poll asking "Anyone going to get a Galaxy Note II?". Nothing odd or funny about people who are not interested in a Note II chiming in.

Not to seem contrary, but unless that was massive sarcasm, only an idiot who was in the market for a small screen phone would buy a Note II. That kind of lack of research would lead to serious device unhappiness. Mind you, apparently people can easily get confused between iPhone and Samsung phone products so I can see it happening.

OMG I didn't know it wasn't an iPhone!! I heard Apple was making a larger screen. I volunteer to testify!!

Ahhh I see what you mean now  my bad. They are still answering the question, ie No :)

woops

I'm more likely to buy something out of Nokia's WP8 announcement coming this wednesday. I'm all for a stylus, I love my iPad styluses, but on a screen less than 7 inches, it doesn't seem practical. The galaxy note 10.1 is certainly of interest, though I'd probably be more likely to buy an HTC stylus-equiped tablet than a samsung.

I was waiting for the Note II, but I don't want it now as it has lower resolution with a bigger screen.

Nope. It's obnoxiously large and the stylus functions are more gimmick than essential.

the only thing thats really changed is the aspect ratio.

I don't know how to explain this exactly but the note2 now has 3 sub-pixels to every pixel where the original had 2 making it a better screen.

Then why offer a poll asking who was going to buy it? The answer would otherwise be an astounding yes in that case if this was only meant for people interested in the note 2.

The Galaxy Note's massive screen has many uses!

Yes, if you look at these pictures you can see the difference:

The Note 2 has a different arrangement than regular RGB, but each pixel does have 3 sub-pixels. While each pixel on the Note 1 (the Pentile RGBG image) only has 2 sub-pixels.

The perceived resolution of the Note 2 will actually be a nice bit higher.

I feel the Note 2 is too big for a phone, too small for a tablet. And the stylus seems too gimmicky. I remember a quote from the Steve Jobs book. He said "Why do we need a stylus, we were worn with 10 of them *waiving his fingers*"

Plus I just bought the Galaxy S3, it's about as big as I wanna go.

Haha, its going to suck crap and fail.

Also to this, it won't suck... and it will sell like hotcakes. Just because you prefer Android doesn't mean it will suck. Yes it will have a smaller screen than a lot of Androids, yes it will have a way more simple/less customizable OS than ICS/Jelly Bean. But it will be built with great hardware and it will have a very polished iOS 6. That being said, I still felt the Galaxy S3 and Jelly Bean (when we get it >.<) will be better for me.

The old one was 1280x800, the new one is 1280x720.

If the perceived resolution of the old one is less, then it is not properly marketed.

Go to the iPad section and search stylus. There is a huge demand for a stylus, and what's available is just terrible. I still use a legal pad for note taking in meetings because it works the best and is the fastest. Finally devices are becoming available to save me the time of transferring the notes to a digital format and even then it sucks if there are things drawn in there.

Plus you don't HAVE to use the stylus. Just like you don't need a pen to write, you can always finger paint like a cave man.

Im seriously thinking getting one as my second phone, I have an upgrade pending and am going to take a look at the new iPhone first, but if nothing new comes from it I will use the Note 2 as my work phone (Drive to work, work and then drive home) and when out (Not at work) and about I would just slip the sim card out and put it in my Galaxy S3.
