The email I got said it would take about 4-6 weeks, and October 6th will be the 6 week mark for me. I haven't heard from Apple since the first confirmation email.

I'm just wondering if Sony is backed up from having to replace pretty much every laptop brand's batteries out there.

I've received a MBP replacement battery and two 12"PB replacement batteries. It's probably just a matter of when you got into the queue. Sony has a lot of batteries to make.

I got it 4 days ago and I'm taking my sweet ass time giving the other back. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before they charge my credit card or something like that. I'm not sure how they could, but they probably would.

Nope, still waiting, it's been over 5 weeks now. I called Apple support last week and they said it should arrive this week.

I got mine within a week. Of course, I also sent the information on the first day of the program, so I'm sure it first come, first serve.

I strongly believe it is region based, I waited several weeks before ordering my replacement battery. By the way, I am in Denmark and it came from Ireland.

I filled out the form on the second day, I believe, and I have yet to receive a replacement.

In regards to an above post, what does Apple do if they don't receive your old battery in a timely fashion?

Supposedly if they don't get your battery, they send you a bill for the price of the battery.

I filled out my form about a week after the recall and got my battery last week. I installed it but have not sent the old one back yet.

Applied for a replacement battery on August 29th, got it last week. So waited for about a month overall.

Only about 8-10 million. :p

Sort of makes you wonder if the production managers might be tempted to see corners cut again.

Of course, it is quite possible that they will be sourcing batteries from everyone in order to make up the shortage.

Finally I have arrived.....
I filed mine with Apple at the beginning of Sept (or late August) as I have 3 batteries which are subject to this recall caompaign. I have yet to receive it (about 5 weeks mark for me now). I am not in a hurry.

Got the battery for my 12" PB today. I filed for it about a week after the announcement was made.

Awesome. I got my battery today. It's a good thing too since I'm taking a trip to Dallas this weekend.

I applied for mine towards the end of September, I left it a while not realising I was entitled. It came two weeks later.

I have also applied for another one yesterday, I'll see how long that one takes.

I just received mine today. Now I'm deciding whether I should hold on to the old one to see if Apple actually follows up on it. It sure would be nice to have an extra battery rather than have Apple toss it.

I got mine a couple of weeks ago, having submitted my request about a week after the recall was issued (because my SN didn't work initially). So I guess it took about four weeks to get here. Ahhhh, do I love being back to 4600 mAh! :)

I got mine roughly 5 days or so after I filled out the form (I filled it out 2 weeks ago). A lot faster than I expected. Surprised me. I shipped the old battery back to Apple a couple days ago. I hope it didn't melt the USPS truck.
