Yep, they look nothing alike. You would never mistake a Samesung tablet or phone for an iDevice, well, unless you are one of their lawyers I guess. Samesung are the kings of copying Apple. If it wasn't for Apple they would probably still be copying Blackberry.

Hahaha!

Whatever would Samsung do without Apples designs?

Well after using the Nexus for a few weeks I'm back to the 4S. I loved the big screen and ICS is pretty damn nice, but the reception sucks and I've had numerous random data dropouts and the battery life was atrocious even with LTE turned off. I also missed FaceTime and iMessage since my wife and parents have iPhones. The tiny screen is still driving me nuts, but I can't afford to be tethered to an outlet.

The Nexus is a damn mini tablet (no thanks).

Also as a previous Android phone owner/user, I'm NEVER going back since I switched over to iOS. :D

But that image is 100% false. The F700 was never shown until after the iPhone. Nice try though.

How is it false? People were USING the f700 in feb of 2007. Keeping in mind the iPhone was announced in Jan of 2007.

If you pretend the united states is the only country on the planet then yes the iPhones release in June 2007 was first.

I prefer not to ignore the rest of the world though.

Nice try though?

just answer the question, which of this phones was shown to public earlier?

and if you really wanna be right, which company started designing its phone earlier?

to claim apple is copycat is ridiculous, but samsung on the other hand... isnt really what you would call an innovator in mobile department, and of course nowhere to be seen in style and popularity - just one of those tech companies, and its all it will ever be...

but lets be real, does it really matter, or you have nothing better to do than to come to an apple forum and bash apple? who cares what other people think, live your life, and if you really dont have other options than living on the internet, try android forums, it doesnt make sense you being here if you dont like apple...

and you know, there was a thread about a question why people defend their phones (extremely irrelevant objects) so vigorously and it definitely has something to do with building ones identity (a phase in peoples life, in most cases in adolescence) and trying to be different/fit in, read it, and its really sad that people need to differentiate themselves with mobile phones

i hope youre in your teen years, but if youre not, youre for some reason stuck in that phase (if you ask Freud, your mom didnt breast feed you right, but that was just a hypothesis) and that could probably pose a problem so you should solve it as soon as you can, maybe look for some professional help...

bottom line, take it easy, its just a mobile phone...

but im more concerned about your need to bash other peoples opinions/choices/stances, now thats a real problem

haha, no, thats your work phone, i know that ;)

but thats not the point, and im not talking to you only, but i really dont understand why all the fuss about freaking mobile phones...

i can understand that the stance 'apple is god' can sometimes be nerve-wrecking, and its wrong, nobody is god, but you also need to understand something, apple is the best tech company in the world, and there is no one near them, and thats why a lot of people have that stance

im not saying the iphone is the best phone, or the ipad, ipod etc, thats personal preference, but there is no one who changed things like apple, do you agree? thats not the matter of preference

sure, there was msn before facebook (as an analogy)

sure, there were mp3 players before ipod

sure, there were touch screens before iphone

but no one made that much of a difference, and everybody knows that, and thats why people dont like apple...

revolutionizing a product means bringing it to mass market, ipod, iphone, aluminium macbooks, macbook air, ipad, itunes as a service

so the fact is, apple is the best, maybe not the best products, but as a company, as a way of doing things, as a stance, they are the best, i mean they are making 20bil of pure cash every quarter... and that is the fact

the only thing worth the argument is what does it mean to bring a product to masses, how many people is that? a mil or 10 mil

but who cares, i dont work for apple, you dont work for apple, only thing we care about is our devices, and buy it for yourself, no matter what others think and stop bashing other peoples opinions, nothing good can come out of it

I was a droid fanboy for the longest time, mainly because I couldn't get an iphone on Verizon. Then I got and iPad2 while going through at least 10 droid warranty replacements and 3 different types of phones. Then the 4s came out and I pulled the trigger. Then my wife's droid went out (again), and she got a 4s.

The only thing I missed was the direct dial widget, but found an app to solve that. No more android for this family

Well just before the Nexus dropped and the rumours were flying around, I was tempted to return my new 4S and wait...but I'm glad I didn't.

Don't get me wrong, I think the GN is probably a very decent phone, but knowing Samsung they will be holding back the best they have to offer for the S3.

I do hope that the next iPhone will have a larger screen although I don't want anything over 4". Small screen is a drawback and I say that as someone who loves her Apple products.

For the most part I agree with what you are saying.

I don't think "best" can be used that way cause it ends up meaning good and bad. Best at marketing, yes. Best at killing asian workers, ? That's just an example I'm not going there just showing an extreme example.

Nor would I base a companies profit to how great they are. Plenty of companies that are borderline evil make billions.

Like I said I for the most part understand and agree with what you are saying. It's just a phone.

Matter of fact I recently directed a friend to get a 4s even though he was set on getting an s2. I just knew he was the type of person that would find android overwhelming. Especially since he is the furtherest from being a tech guy.

Neither android or iOS is the best just like ford and Chevrolet. Some people just have a preference that unfortunately they will die defending.

Just installed Chrome Beta for Android on my SGN. It's awesome! It offers some unique features for example - "place shifting" where the desktop and mobile browser pages get synchronized automatically.

Hoping that we're getting extensions in future judging by this on the chrome web store.

Your going to get "that's dumb and makes me barf"

However I think that's an awesome feature. Problem is the only time I want to use it is when I'm using safari. I generally just email myself the link lol.

Why would you use Safari (outside iOS devices)?

I WAS seriously considering this phone, until I read that the battery life was as piss poor as the other LTE phones wavering around maybe 4 hours tops of usage.
Thats abut all I got with it:D

I'm not. The point was with other mobile os's the browser actually works. Where as safari isn't that great and syncing to a computer would be very useful.

Same thing happened to me. I would be hard pressed to jump ship again.

Own a 4S and just went to see if the grass is greener. Believe me it is not. Tried BB Bold, and Razr Maxx. Both are nice phones but the iPhone is just so rock solid and just works for me. So I am back with my trusty 4S and happy to be back. Waiting for the 5!

not talking here about good or bad, im talking here about how good they are in their business, and they are pretty damn good

but i definitely agree with you, it appears that we are becoming a very shallow and materialist race which will ultimately result in overall stupidity of the human race, like in the movie idiocracy

sad future awaits us...
