I keep getting errors and the download stops. It finished the whole download at one point and then said oh error, try again haha. Lovely.

Writing this from Yosemite.

Wow. I am running it now. It is awesome of course. It seems very stable, what do you guys think about installing it as my main OS. I have everything backed up....and I am not relying on it for any production, it is mainly for fun; yes its my only Mac, but the most work I do on it is make youtube videos in iMovie and i don't have a pro channel with thousands of subscribers or anything. What do u guys think?

The file should be called install OS X Mavericks and it will auto mount..It is located in the applications folder.

Just eject it then copy it to an external drive. Then install the one in the applications folder.

So if you get the "this code has already been used", what is the easiest way to proceed?

Hate to be that guy but I'm gonna say it anyways. OS X isn't like iOS where it needs a registered UDID to install a beta. You could just torrent the developer preview and get the same updates as them...

How easy it it to get updates when in the DP? Will they appear in the appstore/updater? Also can i still upgrade to full version without format?

They appear in the Mac app store like regular updates and install without incident. Yes you'll get the update to the gold master as well.
