iPad Pro Anyone regret getting the 11" instead of the 12.9"?

Did you mean 16inch pro ? So you have 2 tablets and 2 MacBooks ? If yes it will make me feel less crazy have the same set up
That is an interesting photo, because the iPad Pro 12.9” screen looks bigger than the MacBook Pro 13” screen.
Just curious. Does Sidecar allow connections to more than one iPad at a time? If so that would be a great way to have a three-screen setup while working away from home.
That's because it is bigger, 13% bigger by area if my napkin math that doesn't account for the rounded corners is to be believed. Aspect ratios make the raw diagonals very misleading.

I bought the 11 for my wife (I’d just got myself a new M1 MBP, so she insisted on a new iPad for her). She loves the size. But if I were getting one for me, I think I’d be getting the 12.9
This was me. I'm also a student and I take a lot of notes. I returned it for the 12.9, and I'm so glad I did.
Unless, like mine, your MacBook Pro is a 16 inch. Then the 12.9" feels far more portable.
Yes, at least there’s more difference between those two. A 12.9-inch iPad and a 13-inch MB seem redundant.
(I, too, have a 16-inch MBP, but prefer the 11-inch iPad. Too hard to one-hand the 12.9.)
Now i have had the M1 12.9” since release, I regret the 2.5 years i wasted with the 11”, shouldn’t of believed the too big too heavy brigade lol. Oh no too big for bed or the couch haha.
It’s not portable LMAO. Fits in my STM shoulder bag same as the 11”, but nah has to stay on a desk with a keyboard baha.
Same as when i swapped my 12 to a 12 pro max.

Not the person you asked, but from experience - it is possible to of course hold it with one hand. However, fatigue will kick in a lot faster than it does on the 11 inch.
How long have you had the Max? I thought about making the same switch (it’s a beautiful phone with a beautiful screen), but the huge size combined with the hard edges had me concerned that I would grow to hate it the way I did the 10s Max (after developing a thumb-joint pain from the constant reaching — and I have relatively large hands).
Are you starting to find that your hand gets tired after a while of using it?
What about carrying it? For me, the 10s Max became a real chore to lug around. I had to re-do my wardrobe (cargo pants most of the time) to accommodate it.

I have a MacBook only because there are things I still need it for. But I use the iPad 90% of the time or whenever possible simply because of the better screen and versatility.
Right. And just generally a lot more cumbersome and tougher to control when holding with one hand while on the go — planes, trains, etc. — which is a good ~50% of my iPad usage.
Had it about 6 months, i don’t walk around all day with it in my pocket, office/car mostly. It’s not a phone you can do everything with one hand all the time. I have big hands. If you want a one hand only get a mini.
how is the 128gb doing ? , i always bought larger ipads (256) and i find i really dont use much more than 30G , i always bought based on possibly needing shows to watch while away. i think the 128 would work.
my usage is the same as yours , note taking , reading PDF + notes. Always have about 30 board games installed too haha.
which shoulder bag ? , are you putting it in the laptop spot ?. i have the STM messneger bag and mine can only hold a 11" and macbook air/pro. i would love one that can do both 12.9 and macbook air
I have this, will fit a air too, or iPad with MGK, or both. Great bag. There is a newer one now has a buckle on front instead of velcrove.

Ive used 12.9 every generation since it was offered. But this year after accepting that Apple has no desire to bring Pro apps/features to iPadOS then I went to an 11" (2020) and I couldn't be happier.
I don't miss big screen at all and the reduced weight/increased portability has made the iPad even more useful for me. IF Apple ever brings Pro Apps to iPad then I'll consider a 12.9 (or bigger) but as long as it stays as "an overpowered tablet" then I think 11 is fantastic.

No problem. These are all personal opinion but my usage/workflow improved when I went to 11
Reading - Books feel far more comfortable with a smaller device
Size - Portability brings versatility so I bring it around more often. 12.9 was MacBook territory
Weight - As a tablet it just feels more balanced. 12.9 always felt a bit top heavy
Magic Keyboard - MK on 11 felt like an enhanced tablet. MK on 12.9 felt like a crippled laptop.
Video - 12.9 is bigger but 4:3 made widescreen video nearly the same as on 11
Overall, I dont miss 12.9 at all but IF Apple ever shows interest in iPadOS then I’d gladly buy a larger iPad agin. But for what it is now then 11” feels right for me.
