I have one day left with my iPhone 7 plus before my 14 return period is up. While I've enjoyed the device, I'm thinking about returning it and going back to Android. Everything on the iPhone works well, it's just a bit boring and doesn't wow me like a new phone should. I got to try a Note 7 display today and it was excellent. The form factor, screen, and build quality blew me away. Touchwiz is definitely better than it used to be and everything was smooth while I used it.

Anyway, just curious if anyone else is going back to Android. Let's try not to turn this into an Android vs IOS debate.

I had galaxy s7 now have this iPhone 7 I love it. I probably won't go back to the android. This one is so much faster and a lot longer battery life.

No, it isn't - don't let it fool you. It looks nice and fun, but Samsung's update policy is disastrous as always, it's still filled with bloatware and after one or two years, you will end up with a sluggish and abandoned device.

While I agree that the hardware is tempting, it's a bit like a secret affair - exciting for the moment but nothing you'd ever want to settle with. o_O

If you want to go Android, at least take a Nexus - miles ahead of all those crappy manufacturer skins.

Yep the Note 7 is definitely a well built portable bomb. Even after replacing the battery it still is exploding and overheating. At least you won't need gloves in the winter. Having had the s7 Touchpizz is still the single worst modded phone OS that was ever created. It slows down an already slow processor.

Much better off staying cheap and buy the original Note
The iPhone will never be as flashy or "exciting" as the Galaxy (every version of which seems to have more features tacked on), but it gets stuff done and runs great games and fun apps reliably, smoothly, and super fast with no fuss.
most of the features that Samsungs has are apps that Google has also and are available on every single
... exploding, for example?
that and it has a stylus. Woo really worth it over a s7 or a Note 5 or a Note 1

There is no other phone like the note 7. The s pen is not just a stylus...it is suite of extra features.....the form factor of the note 7 gets the wow factor immediately and if there is a device that can do almost anything you can imagine on a phone...its the note 7...exploding or not....the replacements have solved all issues.....you guys enjoy your boring iPhones and your new color since that's what it seems you have actually gotten.....note 7 has the better camera, features, display, design, and wow factor

What can the Note 7 actually do that the iPhone can't?

I have an Android and an iPhone and aside from downloading torrents etc. (legal ones of course) there's not much between them.

Virtual reality, real file manager, s pen with a suite of extra features like creating gifs instantly on any video running, better water proof, better camera, much better display (you guys have yellow gate), secure folder (run apps like having a separate device and store files in a more secure location), iris scanner, always on display, edge screens, split screen multiwindow....the iPhone does not even get close to the note 7's feature set.....funny that someone will even question this unless they never experienced a note device.

And for performance issues, on a real note 7 forum you will notice that most people enjoy their devices and have no issues with lag or hiccups for the most part. I can find as many issues or more such as stuttering or lag, haptic touch button freezing, animation lag overheating phones, bad wifi signal, bad lte signal, camera app shutting down, restarting phones, springboard crash, and yellow displays with the iPhone 7 and plus yet u guys do not mention them (almost every issue imaginable yet apple fans still praise a botched device such as the iPhone 7 and 7plus).

I have them both and the biggest factor for me is the operating system, speed and fluidity. The iPhone 7+ is faster at browsing the web, opening apps and generally much more fluid. Battery life is also much better on the iPhone. Design, screen and slight camera advantage to the N7.

While I don't agree with the ton of things statement, this is about right.......being an IED notwithstanding of course.

I did...exchange the note 7 for the 7+. The note 7 was gorgeous/fast/sexy for the first week, then it started lagging. No help after I wiped the cache partition, reset to factory and I had less than 10 3rd party apps installed.

I have had all the S and the note series and have been using android for yrs.

I sacrifice the customizable of android for the smoothy and boring of iOS :)

BTW my kids love the live photo on the iPhone. They laugh every time I show them their pictures.

Yes, the battery life on the iPhone 7+ can't be beat in real life usage.

Well, I should've known better. Haha.

I was hoping it wouldn't devolve into iOS vs Android **** talking but that's what happened. Anyone that can't admit that both OS have their merits is fooling themselves. iOS has been very smooth and the battery life has been great. But at the same time, it's a relatively boring device with limited features and capabilities.

Android does a lot, albeit it doesn't do everything well. iOS doesn't do as much, but what it can do it does very, very well.

Basically why I went Note 7 this round. iPhone 7 is a nice phone but offers and looks nothing new. Note 7 has the best display, best camera and feels and looks great! I've had it since launch and I've had 0 issues with lag causing me grief. It's gotten even better after the latest update as well.

Just the other day I was watching YouTube videos while surfing the net at the same time. I was also drawing pics using the s pen. Can't do that on the iPhone. I also get to use my cracked version of Pandora that allows me to use Pandora One for free without having to root my phone. Loving it!

I hope the iPhone 8 wows me. I'll be in line on day 1. New look, multi-apps and the latest OLED anyone?
