Having my phone apps running in small windows on my laptop has been a dream of mine for a while. In a way I’d be able to manage my phone from my laptop.

Disabling sideloading, where you download the ipa, is a blow to the way I personally would use a Apple silicon device. I see this a huge drawback and news of it being disabled is disappointing.

Mine works and I can use my apps. I did not reinstall them however.

I am looking for someone to confirm that it is currently possible to download apps -- using iMazing/similar -- that you have previously purchased from the iOS App Store and install them on 11.3.1.

I would love to upgrade my macOS; but just need this confirmation first.

Downloading ipa‘s to the iMazing library is working again as of today. For some reason I couldn’t get access on May 21 & 22.

Negative, on my end. At least the Netflix App and a couple financial apps I have are unable to be installed. I'm on 11.3.1.

Yes Im sure those corporations really care what their outsourced devs think...
outsourced devs? You listed some of the companies with the highest paid developers in the world. They’re not outsourced, lol. Netflix software engineers make close to $400,000/year. Some Amazon developers “make” $500,000/year or more (depending on what year they started and their stock schedule/price, an Amazon employee’s salary is a small part of what they actually make). These aren’t $20/hour developers you find on UpWork. The interview and screening process alone is quite cumbersome and difficult. Especially when you’re on the spot and have 30 minutes or less to code what they ask you. You can have issues and complaints about the companies not wanting iOS apps running on a Mac (I don’t blame them) or about side loading being removed, but that comment shows complete ignorance.

?‍♂

You don’t have to believe me (if that’s what the gif is about), but everything I said is true, and verifiable. It is well known that Netflix pays ridiculous salaries to developers, but that’s because their benefits suck and it’s all cash salary, no bonuses or stock. Amazon’s compensation package varies depending on how long you’ve been there (an SDE1 with AWS would start around $120k salary with a $50-150k bonus and somewhere around $20m in stock, the bonus decreases and stock increases year 2, no bonus and all stock years 3+. If you’ve been there after uear 3, they basically expect you to sell off your old stock as extra compensation. If you e been there 5 years, your $20k stock is now worth ballpark $120k.) Many Apple developer positions
Start near $200k and also have similar stock structure. And you can also Google for examples of the interviews. My Amazon interview was close to 6 hours long. Each session someone has you write code, there on the spot, with no references, can’t look up examples, etc. I don’t know Netflix’s hiring practices, but Apple, Microsoft, and Google are all very similar to Amazon (I know people that work or worked for each of those companies). Those companies you listed are using in house developers.
