Guess I am one of the lucky ones. I signed up for the recall straight away.

Package came on the 20th, straight away I packed it up sent it off to the post office.

My repair status states 21 November that the product received and issues identified. Now it is at product replacement pending.

Pretty swift eh but wonder how long it would take for me to actually receive the ipod hah

Requested service on the first day (11/13?), and received by empty box on 11/21. I had a White 2GB Nano. Shipped it back today...

Kind of surprised they shipped an empty box (Fed ex overnight no less). Thought they might ship the replacement nano and have us return the old one in the same box...

Got my box yesterday. Had called them, they told me there was a backorder on the shipping boxes so they've been delayed a bit.

Requested replacement 11/12 at 6:00am.

No word yet other than do not use it may catch fire.

Could this be a prank?

A prank? Are you serious?

I applied on one of the 1st days as well. I called earlier this week. They informed me that they had a shortage of boxes and that they would still be coming. They also said they would extend the period of time since the original email says 10 days.

I was thinking the same thing. They couldn't possibly be collecting all of the 2005/06 nanos fixing them and sending the fixed 2005/06 nanos back out to everyone. It makes no logical sense. They should have started this on April fools day. If Nike announced a problem with 2005/06 shoes this year, they wouldn't have everyone mail them back in, fix them and send them back out.

How about just send us a $50-$75 gift card toward Apple products instead.

I requested it on the 12th, got the box on the 15th, had UPS pick it up on the 16th, and Apple received it on the 24th. My product replacement is still "pending" though...

Well I have my box shipped back to them and am still waiting to get my new Nano back :(. I have a hunch that a lot of people are going to be getting Nano's back at the same time.

It was a surprisingly thick box that was plain brown. Once opened it had a small bag for the iPod, strips of tape, 3 pieces of foam that the iPod is nested between. And a printed sheet of instructions. Different countries might get different packaging though! If from the U.S.

the courier has taken the package directly from your home? what was on the sheet? thanks for all these information! :D
