Ive talked to three Best Buy chat reps they all say the same thing..trade value PLUS the gift card
But the T&Cs have no references to "extra" $150 or "when you order a new iPad Pro". It just says "order iPad Pro now", and the normal T&Cs around no cracks, etc.

I remember one of these promos from a few years ago, turned out I got the value of my iPad plus the gift card to purchase a new one..I think the 150 is for those who trade in an iPad Pro which is what I am trading in..but I will call best buy later and ask for sure but these promos are not knew..have done it before its always the trade in value PLUS the gift card either way I end up getting jipped..285 for the iPad Pro 9.7 128GB WiFi and a 150 gift card..still pathetic
I agree with your reading. I can't explain why reps are saying different, but I read the conditions.Again, I could be wrong, but I don’t think it’s a trade-in PLUS a $150 gift card. Based upon my understanding, whatever you trade-in will net you at minimum a $150 gift card value. Say your iPad is valued at $80 then you’d get a $70 bump. If that same iPad was valued at $250 then that’s all you get...$250 trade-in gift card. Anyone else care to take a look?
Please do let us know what you find out. I also have the 128GB WiFi model. For $285, no way. But if they let me put $435 towards a new 10.5 (I only paid $575 for the 9.7), then I'm in.
I have also done these promos with Best Buy, in fact I did it this March and they gave me $100 for my old iPad 3, and I put it towards a 5th gen.
That Jaybroker site..says they would give me 380 for my iPad..only thing is, I know what happens when you send electronics to these sites, you so end one in perfect and boom they say "Oh its damaged you will get less for it" that is why I like doing transactions for electronic items face to face
Everyone’s experience is certainly different. I’m sorry if you’ve ever gone through that. I, however, have not experienced that in my years of dealing with them. If I say it’s flawless, they give me the flawless price. If I say good, then they give me the good price quoted. I’ve dealt with them for my iPad Air, iPad Air 2, iPhone 5s iPhone 6s and now my iPad Pro 9.7. One of the best trade in website companies I know!![]()
And how does it work do they send you a check in the mail for that amount once they receive it?
Trade in my old Pro? You got to be kidding mate! I traded in my wife
Ok I just talked to best buy..its NOT the trade in value PLUS the 150..its the trade in value and if its LESS than 150 than you will get 150..if its above you will just get the total credit..so for me that would be 285 and its not worth it at that price will just stick to craigslist
While I appreciate your follow-up, I still believe you're incorrectly describing the offer. The T&Cs explicitly state "up to" $150, never "$150 minimum" which is what you're describing above. For example, if you're trading in an iPad 2, you're going to get ~ $60. Which is not related at all to the new Pro models, and is the standard trade-in offer. These "$150" promotions are just marketing activities by BB, not an enhanced offer, such as they've done in the past with "$100 minimum" etc.
I believe LakerChick (hope Boston doesn’t try to rain on the Lonzo pick on the 22nd!) is correct in her most recent post. I have posted screen shots of best buy’s online offer and it does state “minimum $150” for qualifying iPads.![]()
Yes, well it seems like there is only a minimum $150 when you trade in a working iPad mini 2, mini 3, mini 4, Air, Air 2 or iPad Pro.I believe LakerChick (hope Boston doesn’t try to rain on the Lonzo pick on the 22nd!) is correct in her most recent post. Other iPads fall under the 'up to $150' offer, which could mean ~$15.
What are you trading in, I mean a $285 credit towards a new iPad is awesome discount, I gave my Air 2 to Apple for $165 discount off the iPad, then Bestbuy gave me $420 for my old 2012 MacBook Pro, which Ive used $400 for Smart Keyboard, Pencil, and the stupid USB C charger. These accessories cost 50% of the darn iPad WTFOk I just talked to best buy..its NOT the trade in value PLUS the 150..its the trade in value and if its LESS than 150 than you will get 150..if its above you will just get the total credit..so for me that would be 285 and its not worth it at that price will just stick to craigslist
