It's quite stable (and seems a little faster than 10.8.0/1 in certain tasks and UI rendering operations).

can you elaborate please? iv experienced some issues to do with desktop spaces/swiping space to space having a slight lag to it (not butter smooth)

and launchpad icons losing sharpness slightly, and also not butter smooth when browsing.

Would it be possible to update 10.8.2 developer preview to the final 10.8.2
or only a clean install of ML?
BTW I am not a developer

I've installed it and it's very stable. The only difference I've noticed is that Facebook notifications work now.

Agreed. More stable. Facebook notifications working.

I have a feeling that this build also fixes the Safari color-shift problem that has been plaguing some of us since upgrading to Mountain Lion.

i am also curious about this. My guess would be that one should be able to without a clean install but does anyone know for sure from past experience?

Does it fix the FS safari bug wherein you download something and it moves to a different screen to open automatically and the dock icons vanish.

The password entry box on the login screen takes a few seconds longer than 10.8.1 to appear. So you're sitting waiting for it to permit text entry.

Selecting a file to Share > Email seems to bring up two compose windows.

Safari will randomly free scroll.

Other than that , it's quite stable.

I installed 10.8.2 last night and so far it is incredibly stable. I did not have the battery issue before so I can't comment on that. I was getting about 8 hours before and that hasn't changed. I do like the facebook integration with notification center though ;)

There are some bugs. When clicking a mailto: link I get duplicate compose windows. Also drag & drop on some applications is not working.

iMessage unification with phone number works nicely.

There is a bug with receiving FaceTime calls over phone number. It's either your phone or your Mac, both won't ring with a phone number right now.

What exactly does this do? Does this mean people can send messages to a phone number from the Messages app in 10.8.2? I like Messages and iMessage but I'm still a little behind on all of the features and limitations. Thanks.
