All indications is they are as good, but not better, than the EarPods you get with iPhone.
Maybe released by Thanksgiving.
It seems obvious to me that the delay is due to the W1 chip.
Mass production of quality chips may be difficult in the ramp up stage of the Airpods.

If that's the case then I wonder why Apple would give priority to the Powerbeats3 having first crack at the W1 chip? You would think they would want their flagship product in front of the line. Just weird
Beats are more for the masses. Will most likely outsell the Airpods, and are probably a higher return per unit.
Definitely makes sense. I just don't like how the Powerbeats3 look but I suppose they are built for a workout specific function. I'm definitely getting the airpods and the beatsx though.
