I don't need to, you are making assumptions and stating them as fact, when you can't actually do that. And besides,
Lol!

You are claiming that my assertion (not assumption, important distinction) that Apple's marketing team* do loads of research in order to work out what products will be successful, is not fact. What do you think marketing teams* do?

*By 'marketing teams', I mean those bods who sit around discussing what products they're going to try and sell, and the ones that do the research into what potential products might be successful. All that sort of thing. Just to make it clear, in case they're called something else, like 'Product Imaginer' or whatever. You never know these days.

I don't need to
You really do, because:
it's against the forum rules without some kind of proof.
Those are your own words, not mine...

Actually, no, I'm not stating anything as fact about Apple or the market, you are.
You’re claiming that what I’m saying is wrong. Therefore you are declaring that to be a fact. By your own logic, you therefore need to prove this. Good luck.

I don't think they have any intention of doing that, and why would they? That would compete with the Studio Display, they want to sell you a MacBook, Mac Mini, or Mac Studio AND the studio display.
Time to move to a better system sorry Apple my first was the Apple SE but I think you are losing the home computer person

Was disappointing. Expected at a minimum 24-48 GB RAM option. And just an M3, no Pro or Max option.
Guess I'll just make do with what I have and wait another year. Really was hoping for an all-in-one to replace my 27-inch iMAC.
Why wait move syst
Just saying!

There are those of us - I'm one of them - who grew up with desktop computers with a mouse where you stored your 'programs' or 'applications' on your HDD - along with any content that you had, which was run locally.

And that to us is what a computer is.

However, now, you can get all of that in a laptop form:

Technology!

And 'younger' people see their primary computers as touch interface computers, with apps, web apps and their content on the cloud.

No doubt there are babies now who are going to grow up with their view of a computer being something that you wear on your face and interact with via gesture and voice.
I’m seventy five and have followed Apple since they started I like the idea of a large desktop computer without having to spend thousands to get it to do a job, save all my music all my pictures and all my files, databases, programs and rest of my clutter Speed I’d like but power storage and memory is more important, Colour, come on who cares

I'm not talking about Windows machines. I have a 2019 iMac with 64GB RAM, and at any one time, 3/4 of this is full. My iMac started out with 32GB when I got it, and when I started needing more, it was an easy upgrade to double that. If this had been a "M" class machine, that would not have been possible (I guess it's kinda moot, as 8GB would have never have been enough to begin with).
Perhaps it would have been more appropriate to stated it as an x86 architecture limitation instead of generalizing as a “Windows machine”

Nice. I really wish this was available in 27” or a way to add a second screen. I like the colour but would like something bigger.

27" Apple Studio Display is an incredible and gorgeous device. My family love taking turns attaching their devices to the big screen using just one USB-C cable. Everyone has their own iMac-type computer now.
