ok So my final interview was the 9th I was offered the job on the 16th for a class in Nov. I got my hire right info on the 16th how long does it take for them to process i am on pins and needles I cant sleep lol

Be patient. Mines took 5 days.

----------

I emailed my recruiter immediately to let her know I did receive the dates. I asked her to please call me as there are major discrepancies and I'm waiting for her to call. That's all she knows at this point so once I find out I will definitely update here. I haven't read every post on this thread but I have skimmed through it and all kinds of different issues arise and I think it's really cool that we have this place to gather. Although I haven't read one quite like mine, hopefully they can help someone out later on if this type of issue arises again.
I guess the only thing I can do is wait! And be grateful that it wasn't the other way around!

Not sure if you read my post a page ago, but I also had discrepancies. A full year. I told my recruiter as soon as I noticed. She told me to do my best to verify. As long as you really worked there you should be fine. My suggestion is to call that employer get the exact dates they have and put that on the BGC. Hire right calls and verifies salary...hire dates...and position...Thats it...

If I made it you can too! Good Luck!

Right and I understand that but I just don't feel right about claiming two extra years that I did not work.
I have contacted the company to reverify the dates and they have. They are standing firm on the dates that are in their system. I have proof that there dates are wrong. I will wait to hear back from my recruiter to advise on how to handle the situation because I am at a complete loss!

First, relax. This has happened to many candidates in the past, and it's pretty much the norm with these types of third party screening companies. As long as you can prove you worked somewhere with the dates you've listed, you'll be fine. You've taken the right steps by keeping your recruiter in the loop. In case you need to, you might want to dig out some old W2s or paycheck stubs that list the employer and dates. Just in case you need them. Hang in there, you'll be fine! ;)

What I mean to ask is during training what are the exams focused on? Is it focused on Apple history or is it based on company procedures and products? Thanks again.

As someone else mentioned, the exams are based on training modules and key talking points the instructors mention during your training class. Take good notes, study with your peers, ask questions if you don't understand something, and try to chime in when the instructors ask for class input.

A great way to prepare for technical stuff is by reading the Apple support articles for whichever products you're going to be trained on. Familiarize yourself with iCloud, iTunes, Apple IDs (how to create one and password recovery processes), and Apple Pay. You'll start training with a sick advantage if you start studying now!

Just got the call from my recruiter! BGC next and my start date will be November 24th instead of December!
My background is a little colorful. I was a hellion when I was younger, I hope that doesn't ruin my chances after making it this far.

I got the offer call! Nov 10 start date. From first application to today was less than a month (though it felt like much longer to me!) Everything else will move pretty quickly I imagine. Good luck to those still waiting! I'll hopefully meet you in training!

Congratulations! How exciting! How long did it take for your background check to be completed? That's what I'm waiting for! And you are right, this feels like FOREVER!!

It took a full 7 days. I had a slow to respond employer. Then it took 5 days for the offer call. Made for a nice start to my weekend!

I-9 verification

FYI if you do not have a Apple store just find a Public Notary at a UPS store or something comparable, I found the bank/credit unions and other professional notary's did not feel comfortable doing it due to liability and would not fill out or fill out as required. Just explain that it is a ID verification!

Thanks for this tip! I have a nearby Apple Store thankfully. They did say I needed to make an appointment if I used one. I'm assuming that's with a manager? I'm nearby right now so I may stop and make one in person.

Congratulations! I had my 3rd interview this past Thursday, 10/23. Have not heard anything yet, but looking back, I feel like I did well. We did 3 roleplays. I definitely see what was meant by them being hard to read! Just waiting on the final verdict here now or a BGC notification of some kind! I've heard starting months of both November and December, so I suspect I'm being considered for that hire group or the next one after. Keeping my fingers crossed!

I think as long as you're just open and honest about everything, you'll be just fine!

Just did the screening call for the College Program at Baylor, they said I will do a FaceTime next. Anyone know the timeline for employment for the College Program? She said I would be starting in Jan. if I get the job.

Hey, I was hired on as part of the 11/10/14 class.

I just wanted to let anyone that is getting their i-9 filled out through a notary know that the notary has to fill out the entire i-9 page.

I know that sounds like something obvious. But the first time I tried to turn in my i-9, the notary had her secretary fill out the top half of the page with the info on my IDs, and then the notary signed and stamped the second portion. When I tried to turn it in they told me I needed to go back and have her fill out both halves herself.

I went to a different notary the next day and HER secretary also tried to fill out the top half before having the actual notary sign and stamp the bottom section. So I don't know if its normal for them to have the secretary fill out part of the paperwork, but Apple won't accept it if the page has had two different people fill it out.

The same thing happened to me, the assistant filled out part and the notary did the rest. After having such a tough time with the first notary (who did not want to do it all) I decided to go and pay a different one, I showed them the first one that was denied and explained what I needed. This one allowed me to pay extra for her assistant to scan and email it before leaving, The first notary would not. Just glad to be done with that part. :D

How long has it been? Dang! They started my background check on Friday and requested information which I submitted within three minutes of their request. I keep checking often and it's only been two business days! I guess I have a ways to go!! This waiting is intense!
Good luck to you and keep us posted! Hopefully they get it done so you can start on the 10th.

I received a phone call earlier from my past employer. She was extremely upset and frustrated after three 'unsuccessful' phone calls from Hireright. Not only was the English so broken she was not able to understand what they were saying, each call got disconnected. She was not able to give any dates of employment. I immediately called Hireright to see if maybe someone else could call back that had a stable line. The person I spoke with informed me that my dates were already confirmed for that employer. So what that tells me, is the person that reached out to my employer marked my dates correct when she indeed did not even verify them. That's pretty scary to know information is being 'validated' when it's really not! What if it were the other way around?!
