Soooo...yesterday, I decided to call a recruiter(who invited me to call if I had any questions) to actually see if I could get some insight on how long it generally takes after BGC to get an offer...gave him my BGC completion date of 10/3..I was told it's still early and to give it at least until Tuesday....so still I wait...but in the midst of all the waiting, to relieve this anxiety/excitement/stress, I'll go play some MW3!! LOL!!

This gives me some hope.

----------

10/29 here.. still no call :( BC complete on 10/1

Welcome to the club.

It was 16 days from the day I submitted the BGC until the day I got the job offer call.

Did anybody get hired that DID NOT submit a cover letter? I'm beginning to wonder if this held me back from receiving a questionnaire.

Wow I wonder what they don't like about my resume. I've had calls from everywhere else but Apple.

Apple seems to have a very unique hiring procedure. The first resume I submitted I never got a call. Then i created a new user id and submitted the same resume just the layout was different and I got an email a day later. Interesting.

Basically you have to make your cover letter and resume' stand out from the rest.

Remember that Apple gets hundreds of resume's everyday, so you need to make an impression on the recruiters.

I went online and looked at different cover letters and found a style that I thought would stand out.

Still waiting...

I'm still waiting on bgc. Apparently, HireRight is having an issue verifying one of my previous employers. It's a small company with less than 10 employees in central Arkansas. When I called HireRight, they said, "We can't find information for them in our database, do you have their contact information?" Um, ok...I had to put that information on the form, but gave it to them again. A few days later, they still hadn't contacted the employer and suggested that I "go ahead and send in some documentation because it couldn't hurt." Ok...I faxed in 21 pages of w-2s and pay stubs from 2009-2012. I called a day later, and was told, "Yeah, we received the information. We might look at it later. Do you have contact information for XYZ company?"

The funny thing is, I just went through a bgc through HireRight a few months ago for another job. I still have a copy of it and had no issues with them. The process took about a day last time.

my boss got a call from hireright verifying my current employment on 10/4, so i know they are performing the check, im just wondering how long it will take them to complete the rest of it. my record is totally clean too so im not worried about anything else.

i would hope my chances of employment are good if they are going to waste the money on a BGC.

You gotta wait just like everyone else. Im also slated for the 11/5 class and waiting for hopefully an offer call.

Hireright is a joke. period. They should pay you since you are being asked to verify employment when it is THEIR job not yours. Hireright is the only company I have heard such bad things about.

Got an offer call on Wednesday and the official offer email Friday with a 10/29 start date. Just wanted to thank everyone in this forum for their contribution and help and for those waiting, don't lose hope. A quick question, how do I know the product I'm supporting? Some people have stated that they are supporting osx and some say the iPhone, ipad, etc., how do I know or check which area I will be supporting?...thanks again everyone and goodluck.

My final interviewer told me. I assume it would relate to the types of questions asked. My questions were all computer related. Nothing iOS.

Here is hoping we get a call though it seems hope is starting to fade slightly.

I thought it made sense :)

It absolutely does.

I don't understand why some people get called the the BG comes back and some later on.

Maybe it depends on the TL ?....

We just need to time to make sure we have everything in order and I will have to make a 4 hour roundtrip drive to complete my paperwork.
