2nd Interview Not Like I Expected

Well, I had my 2nd interview with Apple for the July 1st class for the full-time position as an Applecare At Home Advisor directly through Apple(not Kelly) about two hours ago here in Houston, Texas. It was nothing like anything I've seen posted on this forum and I've read nearly every post and studied all the interview questions. It wasn't very in depth.

Questions:

Define Empathy (That reoccurred throughout the interview)

Questions about email POP3/IMAP and SMTP. (Which I was able to show I had general knowledge)

And one role play question. (Hard in the sense that it was very detailed and there would've been no way to see it coming but I think I held my own considering.)

It was laid back but hard to gauge the interviewer . We joked about a couple of things and laughed.

After my first interview I was advised that the 2nd interview would be exactly 20 minutes. And it ended in exactly 20 minutes. The interviewer was on schedule. lol

The interview basically ended with the interviewer saying that I would receive a reply in 3 to 5 days IF I was selected for a 3rd interview. I don't know what to think of this one. Patience is a virtue.

Hope it works out in my favor. :)

Good luck to the rest of you out there going through this cycle.

So my 3rd interview was scheduled for this morning at 11:15cst via facetime and I received a confirmation email yesterday confirming my interview. Well the time has come and gone and I have tyet to be contacted by anyone. It has been two hours and am hoping this isn't a bad sign. I sent an email to my recruiter asking if there was some kind of mistake and if I needed to reschedule and also haven't gotten a reply yet. Anyone else have an issue like this.

Make sure that the backup phone number you provided is available for the interviewer to reach you at. However, that's not good that you haven't heard from them yet, and it's been over two hours since your scheduled interview time...

Thank you for the reply.
Yes my phone is available, it's been in my hand as a matter of fact lol. Well...I guess the waiting game continues. I hope my next email from them isn't the " thanks for playing" one. I feel that I have done very well in my first two interviews and I was told after the second interview that he was going to recommend me for the position, so it just seems so strange to me that I wouldn't have gotten some kind of contact yet.

I just had my 3rd interview for the July 1st Class, and my contact said he was going to recommend me for the position, and that they would be reaching out to continue the process soon. I got an e-mail asking me to update my info on the apple jobs site, but no Background Check email yet.

Anyone else in the class yet? Any information? I'm so incredibly excited, but I don't want to let myself get over excited just yet. :)

I interviewed for the July 1st class. My background check was completed yesterday so hopefully I hear something SOON!!! The waiting is killing me already!!!

Did your recruiter initials start and end with TN? Trying to figure out what is up as I received an email after my 3rd interview but it was not the BGC :-(

Hirerite Background cheek

Does anyone know if Hirerite will report pending criminal charges to Apple in their background report. I know the application asked for convictions but it did not say ask anything for charges pending.

It's been almost one week since I've received my offer call, and I'm still awaiting my offer email. Anyone else waiting for their offer email to arrive?

To help everyone lighten the tension, what was the silliest or most ridiculous thing you said in the interview process? Did you still advance?

The reason I ask is I attempted to make a joke and failed miserably using it as an example of how to explain something to a customer, and I couldn't tell if the interviewer was offended or not...boy I certainly hope not! One more day until hopefully I hear something! Here's to hoping for the best! :D

I would imagine you could find that out during your interview process by simply asking. I didn't see anything about the chair needing to be leather, it just simply needs to be ergonomic.

Thanks. I couldn't remember if i had read here or somewhere that it had to be leather. :)[/QUOTE]

I asked my interviewer what type of desk would be required, and he mentioned that those details would be discussed during training, so I assume they would discuss the quality and type of chair necessary as well.

Finally got a response from a recruiter. I submitted a résumé back in April. The sad part is that I missed the call today. I've been calling back these past few hours. Left one VM and I responded back to the email sent after the missed call. Any suggestions? Or just wait for a call back tomorrow?
