Yes, im serious. Not ALL ergonomic chairs are leather… simply asking a question.

QUOTE=MrMacMack;17287949]Is this a serious question? Or, you just playing around?
[/QUOTE]

I would imagine you could find that out during your interview process by simply asking. I didn't see anything about the chair needing to be leather, it just simply needs to be ergonomic.

Hello
Does the ergonomic chair have to be leather?

Since you didn't seem to get a smart answer...

No. The chair just has to be ergonomic with features such as adjustable arms rests. You should get more information on this as time goes on.

That didn't answer all of my questions... When will I be given the phone and headset by Apple? What is included in the offer packet in the mail?

Phone and headset come to you with the computer shipment. Usually a few days before the job starts.

Is a gym membership compensation part of Apple's benefits? Did not find anything in a thread search.

They also send you an iPod touch? If so what for?

Only if you are iOS.

There is a $300.00 fitness reimbursement.

I have not seen anyone who's BCG came back good that did not receive an offer. That doesn't mean it's always the case but I haven't seen it happen yet. Also, I am in the June 17th CPU class. Best of luck hopefully I will see you there. :)

There have been a few.

Thank you, much!!!:)

No problem. I mean I understand that the very last thing on your mind during these interviews is whether or not your desk chair must be leather and it's ridiculous to e-mail your recruiter for just that when you have a plethora of current and new hired AHAs to talk to. That's the purpose of a discussion board, after all.

I find it odd that Apple made AHA sign a NDA when I work with the same info for Volt and never had to sign anything like that. Doesn't mean I'm going to tell all, but find it odd.

Most every major company makes its employees sign non-disclosure agreements. If you're working directly for Apple, of course they're going to make you sign one since you will be privy to stuff that others may wish to know. If you're working for a company that Apple hires as a contractor such as Kelly, it's up to that company. If an issue arises, though, and that company hasn't asked its employees to sign a NDA, it can and probably will be held just as liable as the employee that sold or gave away secrets that they shouldn't have. Of course most employees just sign whatever they are told to and don't ask questions or read the paperwork and therefore don't know that they're actually sighing NDAs.

I had my third interview last Thursday, and I received my background check email late Monday night. I was told the 3-5 business day reply in my third interview.

Hey, may I ask the initials of your recruiter? I am wondering if we had the same one as I am in a similar situation. Thanks in advance!

Apple of my eye

I applied directly through Apple so I can't speak upon the nervousness of being caught off guard. Hopefully I nail the next 2 interviews! Proper celebrations will occur with massive amounts of booze!:D:D

Good luck to you BTW!;)

I applied with Apple as well as. Loaded a beautiful resume! I just know they'll give me a shot if they ever stumble upon it or any of my tags. *crossing fingers*

This would be just perfect for me. I am a homebody but I love helping people, and staying technically savvy. Just went through diagnoses for a conduit culprit on my pc with great results.

Then, helped instructing a friend on how to navigate, sell and research on Ebay. All since yesterday. And managed to toss in a couple movies, Tron the Legend and Die Hard Live Free or Die Hard (best one I think). Techy weekend, I must say.

I am a bit older but hoping Apple takes into consideration our wisdom, work ethic and loads of experience. I can't seem to think of anything else just now. I'll be a complete bundle of nerves if I get an opportunity!

:apple: :apple: :apple: I wish you the best of luck! Think positively and envision yourself already sitting in the chair and solving the customer's troubles !!! :apple: :apple: :apple:

It took 10 days for the bgc to complete for me.... I went in to the Kelly location on 5/10, and received my offer call today...

At Home Advisor

Just finished my employee orientation with Kelly. Waiting for the next step, which is receiving my Mac and other items. I am a PC person so this will be all new to me, but am looking forward to the challenge.

The way I see it is though the pay is not great, I have to make the best of it. Have had better jobs but commuting and dealing with all of the personalities can be a negative. I have a family and any job is better than no job because it is not the lack of opportunity, it's appreciating the opportunity.

Did they tell you what you were going to be doing? Like I see everyone talking about iOS or CPU or iTunes Chat....thats applied directly through Apple, but does Kelly have like one certain section they work?

I live in a small town, where the job I was working as a debt collector (I HATED IT BTW!!!) I was making 9.00/hr....but I have low overhead anyways, no rent, no car payments...So this is cool for me honestly...making the same thing, but NO commute!! I was spending $40+/week in gas driving back and forth 20 mins each way!
