Apple buyers still with "Prepared for Shipment" come in..

For those that are prepared to ship, have you been billed for it yet? I ordered mine Monday and have been prepared to ship since Tuesday. I noticed Tuesday the charge was pending on my debit card. When I log in this morning, the charge is no longer there however and hasn't come through yet. That has me a bit worried.

One caveat though - I do fall into that group that should get a $200 credit from Apple since my upgrade date was really in August and I ordered at the "early upgrade" price.

Pending charges usually stay on card account for about a week after the merchant initially places the hold on the card. Upon shipping the merchant (apple) will input the charge again.

That said, I'm still concerned about the prepared for shipping status.

no, not yet. i'm thinking they will charge the card when it's shipped. if i don't have a tracking number by 11am today I'm calling apple though to see what the story is.
 
I have a tracking number from Apple, but when I go to track the package, it says there's no info yet. I suppose I'll just have to be patient.
 
Still waiting on mine to be shipped, still "prepared." My pending charge went away too, but I'd assume if they cancelled my order it would tell me that when I logged in to view my order status, rather than still say "prepared." No concern here yet. Anxious? Yes. But not concerned. haha.
 
I ordered at 8:30 P.M. on Tuesday and Apple assured me that it would be here on the 19th. Still crossing my fingers.... it still says prepared to ship.
 
And if this many people are still seeing prepared for shipment then this must be Apple's plan. The wouldn't screw us over like that. Maybe it's based on location or something..... I'm in California..... Where is everyone Else?

We have been trying to figure that out some in the other really huge thread. There are a lot of us from Florida as well as PA that are in the same boat, but it really just seems to kinda be random. I guess I don't really care where my phone comes from as long as it comes by the 19th. Here's hoping. :eek:

Agreed. If that many people, it cannot be explained as mistake. I ordered on 8th and still prepared for shipment.
 
Mine was prepped for shipment all week long (ordered on Monday), just got a notification from Apple this morning that it was shipping today via FedEx for delivery tomorrow. So watch your email, folks, you ought to hear something soon ...
 
yah... I ordered Tuesday at 8:30 P.M. after figuring the reserve was complete bs, and it might be worth sitting at the window drooling.... lol. The night before Apple stopped offering delivery for the 19th...
 
i just checked my status. it still says prepared for shipping. my phone is being shipped to brooklyn ny. i ordered on tuesday the 16th in the afternoon.
 
Mine finally went to shipped this morning (ordered on the 16th), however the delivers by date is showing the 22nd so now im worried again. Anyone else get the same email?
 
I orded at 11:00 pm on the 16th and received my tracking number this morning. No updates from fedex yet, but its farther along in the process than i thought. If it hits fedex headquaters sometime today, i should receive it tomorrow as planned.
 
I received my shipment notification about 20 minutes ago. Shipped via fedex overnight delivers tomorrow. Ordered 16 GB Black 3G S on June 8th.

I received my ship #.Delivered by tomorrow. Ordered 16GB white on Jun 8th.
 
hells yeah. just got my shipment notification - shipping from Memphis, arrives tomorrow. order was placed on Monday at noon.
 
hmm. I ordered 20 minutes after the keynote and mine is still prepared for shipment. I'm in Philadelphia.
