For the 7 Plus, I cancelled my orders and went to the apple store just a week after launch and they had a secret opening with a small line of buyers. I also used a web app that told me inventory stock in real time. I cannot remember the name of it though...
My X should be delivered today... First time I preorder and its successful.

watching UPS truck zigzag all around me. got so close once was going to jump in the car and drive the 2 blocks. then veered to another area farther away. Have to admit kind of fun watch the map. gives you something else to obsess over. LOL
Mine literally parked right in front of my house as if he was about to deliver, got out of his truck to check on packages, then got back in his truck and drove away lol
Yes it comes with a SIM card pre-installed. You just have to turn it on and go though the activation process.
Glad I’m not the only one watching the UPS guy go all around our town except to me...
Mine switched to saying rescheduled last night and I picked it up this morning. I wouldn't worry.
I was originally going to hold mine their until it showed closed hours which is weird because on Tuesday it showed open from 3pm-7pm. When I went to do the hold it told me not to send customer their and they would contact you about when pick up is available. So I decided not to go that route. Last night at 11:40pm while it was still at Oakland I change it to pick up at a local UPS Store near me and just waiting on the driver to drop it there. Currently he's in the area when I use follow my delivery.
Has anyone in Los Angeles gotten the Follow My Delivery (watching the truck) to work? or is it just not available here in California?

I decided to wait for delivery since I'm home all day today anyways. I hope it works out for you! I'd call the CC or UPS customer service just to check what's going on.

Now to unpair apple watch, backup iPhone and then restore. Such a lengthy process. Oh and FaceID works surprisingly well even with my glasses on and I think it can detect when I look at it.
Mine finally showed at 5:30 for pick up at the Seattle CC. I’ll be leaving here in about 30 minutes or so. It’s maybe, what... 3 miles away, but you know, Seattle traffic.
Picked up mine at 8:30am. 2nd in line, than 3 more people walked in behind me. So excited!
I’m beginning to worry cause the ups guy makes me his first destination on a count of I give him a case of cold beer. This way he can stay hydrated throughout the day. But no sign of him yet...

For anyone wondering about Selecting “Hold For Pick-up” too early, that’s BS. I selected Hold For Pick-Up at a UPS Retail Store as soon it popped in My Choice last weekend. It all depends on the particular route your local UPS drivers take - for me personally the store I chose “Historically” gets their delivery before my home.
