I Just believe that there is no option right now to pick up at store... you can send it to your home and anybody inside can sign for it... but with the applestore you need to check...
Also is possible that if you go to a applestore you can go out with your new phone in any moment... since i think that for being delivery options for sep 27... there will be also stock in stores.
Thanks. I was specifically wondering about this strategy for the X. Very much so doubt there will be much if any in-store general stock that day.
Where did you all find your serial numbers to check these? Since Apple did away with the old support page, I’m not seeing my serial # anywhere.

I did store pickup and mine still shows "order in progress". Don't pick mine up till 5:30-6:00....it's going to be a long day!
Mine were until this morning. I bet you see movement within the hour.
For the last 15 years that I was working, I did, too... It was a sweet setup, actually.
If your phone status has changed to "Shipped", you can view the invoice on the Apple site. That invoice has the serial number on it.
Go to Apple.com, then pick the ORDERS page (the little "shopping bag" icon at the far right on the home page... go to your orders page). Now, log in, and find your iPhone order... and click on Print All Invoices.
My order with a delivery of 9/26 
has shown no change - looks like I ordered a popular model (8+ 256GB Space Grey). I've forced myself not to check it more than a handful of times a day, lol. Was hoping POSSIBLY that they'd ship it early, but oh well. I'm still happy - I'll still have something to look forward to come Monday .

Gahh, I wish I could work from home tomorrow
instead, I'll be putting in my time and very much looking forward to coming home!
So did I as I had assumed I'd be working that day. Since I have the time, I'm going to the store first thing in the morning and wait for them to allow me to pickup. I really doubt they'll make me wait until 5PM when I'm standing right there hours early.
Mine started on Mt. Juliet, TN. Arrived Louisville, KY. I wonder where too next. Currently was set to HOld for pick up but I had a preference set up before to redirect to my package to the UPS store which did change but I had to change it back. Hopefully request will go through. If not it's fine then it will just go to the UPS store on that day and will pick it up on the 22nd.

They shouldn't. I have a pick up as well for the iUP 8 Plus. for 3:30 pm. Last week I went and asked them about if I can come earlier. They said that you can come in at any time. Since you already paid for it, it's yours, and they will keep it in the store for you at least 20 days.
WFH is amazing for so many reasons, but especially at this time of year. My desk faces my front window, so I know I’m gonna have whiplash by the end of the day from my head snapping up every time I hear a truck engine or see a car passing the front of the house. Lol.

What I thought was my phone was actually my apple tv, my phone has been sitting in Nashville, now in Louisville to get shipped out tonight for delivery tomorrow.
I have store pickup for tomorrow morning and my charges dropped off today. I was told that they will charge it again when your order is actually ready. Wondering if either of you know anything about that.
