[doublepost=1506009784][/doublepost]Philadelphia Intl is experiencing delays
  • departure delays of 16 minutes to 30 minutes (and increasing) due to taxiway congestion

Glad my phones are already in the air, at least I think they are based on departure scan time:

A "delay at Philly International???" I'm shocked!! (sarcasm) Well I'm glad it took off, the weather is nice here today, if there was slight fog or a sprinkle we might talking a 2 hour delay at least.:confused:

Yay! Shipped! Now..."by the end of the day" better not mean 8pm lol. Fingers crossed for a morning delivery! And he BETTER ring my doorbell this time because if he even tries to leave a note, I'll find his truck and have some words haha

LOL, the last time I did this in 2014, I actually made it a point to stay home that day - a Wednesday, then kept myself busy outside..mowing the lawn, then cleaning the inside of my car until UPS arrived around 2:15pm. (I would see the UPS truck drive by a few times...like they were teasing me) After that, I dropped everything and set up the phone. :)

Updated to add how to get serial number for your phone

Thank dwfaust for the info.

Once our orders move to processing and we should start seeing some movement to 'preparing for shipment' over the weekend since release date Sept 22th.

Once this happens we should be able to get details on your phone and let the tracking begin :)

Here are some notes to help track orders:

Apple will automatically add your phone with it's serial number in your support profile. You can see it here:
https://supportprofile.apple.com/

update new page redirected to but only gives you the devices your id belongs to :( :
https://getsupport.apple.com/

However - Thanks to dwfaust for the info:

If your phone status has changed to "Shipped", you can view the invoice on the Apple site.
That invoice has the serial number on it.

Go to Apple.com, then pick the ORDERS page (the little "shopping bag" icon at the far right on the home page... go to your orders page). Now, log in, and find your iPhone order... and click on Print All Invoices.

You can look up the week of manufacture and factory here: http://www.chipmunk.nl/klantenservice/applemodel.htmlor
http://sndeep.info/en

Links: for tracking:

Why not get rid of the support profile page information as that information is no longer available?

I suppose once I activate the 8 Plus, it will be added to my Support Profile. Thats new - for me - the new device used to be added once it was "Shipped" or JUST before it shipped.

I'll try and make it easy on you. No matter how many times you look at the window your phone won't come until the very end of the route. :p

I'm half joking but sometimes it seems that way.
Hahaha, I know, right? My UPS guy told me about how they handle iPhone shipments back when he delivered me my 5, I think—he said that their service level agreement with Apple stated that they had to bust ass and try to get as many delivered before 10:30 am as possible; after that, they delivered them as normal in the course of their typical routes. Dunno if that’s changed or not, but it was that way a few years ago.

Hell, as long as UPS doesn’t bounce my phone from Louisville to Orlando and then BACK to Louisville and BACK to Orlando, like it did last year (all the while telling me when I called Friday night at like 7 pm that, “Oh yes, ma’am, it will be delivered today. They’re staying out to deliver them until they’re all gone,” before finally admitting to me on Saturday morning when I called again that they honestly had no idea where my iPhone was and advising that I should call Monday morning to *make sure it was on the truck* (like that’s MY responsibility!), i’ll be satisfied. Lol. It was a sh*tshow of epic proportions.

And that was after it bounced all over Asia for days to avoid the damned typhoon, too.

omg that's funny! Being outside is a great idea until they come. I'm doing it. Haha I can sit in a lawn chair with my binoculars too hahahah. Sadly it's always Murphy's law for me though. He'd probably come while I take a two minute break to grab a water lol

Yeah, mine said the same thing. Must be a glitch related to those that have been in the US for a while. Maybe.

Heheh, well you can do what I did WAY back when iPhone 5 came out, I set up a WebCam app on my iPhone 4 and pointed it out the window (as slow as that phone was at the time..it worked) If I had to go inside I could view the webcam stream on my Laptop...just to keep an eye on the street. Didnt need it for that shipment. But I would always use this app when I was expecting something via UPS, FedEx that needed to be signed.

Something like this, looks like it has decent ratings

Lmao you're as crazy as I am. I have a wifi camera mounted on the front of my garage so I can see the driveway/street. I work from home but my office is in the basement with no windows. I keep the camera up on my iPad all day while I'm working.

Looks like mine (iPhone 8+ Space Gray 64GB) is older than most (all) of yours listed here. Hopefully not a bad thing! Maybe this was the first 8+ in this configuration? :)

I remember when the retina iPad came out, I printed and signed the release form and attached it to my front door. I was watching when the FedEx driver pulled up. He got out, saw the form on my door from the street, went back to the truck and got a door tag. I went out to meet him, and he said that he wasn't going to leave the iPad even with my signed release on the door. The drivers do have that discretion if they're concerned that the package might be stolen (I live on a cul de sac without much traffic).

Had the same for a white 8+ 64GB

Yes even if you have a pre signed release form attached, it is still at the drivers discretion whether they want to leave it there or take it back for next delivery attempt.
