I’m going to go out on a limb and say we *might* see some early deliveries. Everyone keeps referring to years past when 2020 has been nothing close to normal. Several people have Wednesday delivery. Mine went from Tuesday to Wednesday which is very odd. Something tells me Apple may have given the green light for Wednesday delivery, at the earliest. We will see.
But it is still unlikely that we will get ours before the Apple Stores are allowed to have pick ups. Point taken that this is a very weird year. I'm just not convinced Apple or UPS thinks it is *that* weird.

My ups shows delivery on wednesday. This is not the first time ups has shown me earlier than allowed delivery. It has, again in the past, always changed to the officially sanctioned date once it arrives and is sorted in the USA.

Pretty sure UPS isn’t going to hold them... most people should get them early on the 21st. The Apple Watch was delivered early and I don’t think the iPhones will be any different.

I'm pretty sure they will as Apple has placed a restriction on iphone packages. Apple watch is different because there was no specific pre-order date like the iphone. the orders went live right after the event. Like last year, my iphone 11 Pro max launch day landed on KY Tuesday, but stayed there till Thursday and got the import scan on thursday and then was overnighted on launch day. This year won't be different.

Well either way, it is less then a week. We shall know soon enough.

For anyone with Verizon and need a charger brick for their USB-C cord...

off topic i know but the new silicone case is very nice. i don’t know if it’s visible on my photos but the buttons are black and “seem” very easy to press in. The bottom is closed except for the opening for the lightning port and then little pin holes for the microphone and speaker. It is very clean looking. the buttons on the 11 pro max silicone case are hard to press in, well not hard but require some pressure. the new cases don’t seem as rigid.

Oh that is encouraging as I agree the buttons on the 11 silicone cases were a little stiff. Thanks for this.

The buttons will probably feel different when they have the actual phones buttons pressing them out.

Email received: :04 AM. "Preparing for Shipping", nothing in UPS yet. You're supposed to enter the alphanumeric number (W***) minus the last two digits, right? Or skip the W?

Also, has anyone ever held it at their local UPS store? I realized after I ordered that UPS doesn't always come through, my apartment is sort of hard to find so they try to deliver it the next day.

Would there be a delay in picking up if I asked them to hold at a store?

lol im so ocd (to put it nicely) i don’t want to even open the clear one to not get dust or god forbid a fingerprint in it till i put it on my new phone. im hoping the new cases easily pop on and off so i can easily keep my clear case clean. that’s why i also bought the silicone case, just in case, to keep me sane.

I bought apples clear case last year and immediately returned because the fingerprints were horrible. ?

Mine says Wednesday and even has the estimated delivery time as 830am-1230pm

Just placed an order for a 12 Pro Graphite in 128. Sim Free. Delivery was mid November, but local store 10 minutes away has ready for pickup launch day. Which option do you think I picked 🤣

Nice to see plenty of inventory going to local stores this year
There are no crowded stores or lines. Guess you haven’t gone to a store since COVID. But hey, thank you all for opting for delivery.
My daughter was at the mall in Sacramento yesterday and said there was a huge long line outside of the Apple Store. No thanks. Could be Covid droplets in the air in the mall. Getting it shipped.

there is a very good chance that delivery would be the following Monday if you choose the UPS Store. I always have it held at the Customer Center/hub, and I pick it up when their doors open.

Yes there’s definitely a chance they would delay your launch day delivery. Like @Pipper99 said having it held at the Customer Center/Hub is a better idea.

I was iffy between black and blue. I’m not huuuuge into bright colors so went with the neutral black. But now I really want blue. It’s ok. First world problem. No biggie.
I know what you mean. I’m having a hard time deciding too. Black has always been neutral with every case. Just with blue it won’t look good with everything haha
