You are right. Might be one of those coming from an Apple Store storage?
Unlikely the Apple Store shipping thing was only for items Apple stores within 100 miles had in stock. The Apple Stores probably haven't gotten the phones yet either normally they do a day before. I even saw on year pickup orders got delayed because the phones weren't delivered to the store until late afternoon on launch day.

I'm pretty sure they will as Apple has placed a restriction on iphone packages. Apple watch is different because there was no specific pre-order date like the iphone. the orders went live right after the event. Like last year, my iphone 11 Pro max launch day landed on KY Tuesday, but stayed there till Thursday and got the import scan on thursday and then was overnighted on launch day. This year won't be different.
Correct.

Again there was no pandemic last year. Things could be different. Shipping volume is extremely high. Some UPS/Fedex hubs can't even get all the daily deliveries done. So added hundreds of thousands of iPhones to the mix doesn't help. Apple may have recognized this and told them not to hold them. Just think what chaos stacking up iPhones all week and then introducing them into the system all at once for delivery in one day would cause.

Yes there’s definitely a chance they would delay your launch day delivery. Like @Pipper99 said having it held at the Customer Center/Hub is a better idea.

For my Apple Watch Series 6, I wasn’t able to have it held at the customer center, even though the hold request went through on UPS. I went to the customer center to see what was up and they said they weren’t able to hold Apple packages for pickup due to security reasons. You may have a different experience, though. This was the first time it happened to me. It ended up on the delivery truck regardless and it got delivered later in the day.

there is a very good chance that delivery would be the following Monday if you choose the UPS Store. I always have it held at the Customer Center/hub, and I pick it up when their doors open.
What's the difference between CC and the store? I checked their website, where it says 'Hold for pickup' and all the locations it shows near me are UPS stores.

I really don’t understand how some of y’all got a scan in ive been checking all day nothing is showing up! Ugh I know I’m not the only one.
Yup, I got the confirmation email 4 minutes after preorders were supposed to go live in my time zone. Nothing in UPS my choice, or in the 'Track by reference' results.

Patience, I guess..

3D models of all the phones, come to papa blue iPhone 12 ??

And we are sure the bezels are all the same here? The 12 bezels seem bigger than the 12pro. In fact I dont even think the bezels are less than on my IPX. Really wish apple would catch up with Samsung and every other major phone company and get close to "bezel-less"

Now I’m undecided on Silver or Pacific Blue. I think I’m going to take my chance with Pacific Blue and if the dates slip then I’m going to go with Silver.

I know what you mean. I’m having a hard time deciding too. Black has always been neutral with every case. Just with blue it won’t look good with everything haha

Yeah. I’m not a case switcher though. With black I’ll either use a brown leather or possibly a clear or black case. If I had the blue it would prob have been the clear case or a black leather case.

interesting. My AW6 shipped fedex, and they held it at the hub for me.

In certain circumstances they have to make a delivery attempt to the delivery address before it can be held or re routed.
