It’s weird. I keep checking on the UPS app to see if its shown up yet, and I only see the two items I was already expecting. The weird part is one of them is the new iMac. I haven’t purchased an iMac in over a decade, and the last Mac computer I purchased was my late-2013 Retina MBP. So here I am, with a brand new 27” iMac coming my way, and I’m bummed because my ip12 isn’t there yet. ????? Ok, now I’m getting excited for the iMac again. ??

First world problems. Need to remind myself to be grateful for everything.
Sometimes I think why am I obsessing over this it's just a phone and in a few weeks it will be just that a phone and I won't care. But then I'm like well it's also the experience and hype of getting that day 1 pre order in and then sharing the week of excitement and tracking on here with everyone that does the same thing. Good that in these COVID times we can still all be here and share the excitement safely.

I read there's no stereo pairing for the minis. Only the full size HomePods are supported. Can can add multiple minis but they'll all play the same. Unfortunate because I was interested with the smaller size. Will stick with my Sonos hookup. Here's the article: https://www.macrumors.com/2020/10/14/homepod-mini-homepod-cant-be-stereo-paired/
That's not the case if you watch the demo during the keynote it said you can put 2 minis next to each other they will intelligently turn into a stereo pair. They showed 2 on a TV stand paired.

It's right here on the mini page. Reading the post linked it says you can't create a pair with a mini and a regular HomePod. Has to be with 2 HomePods or 2 minis not mismatched. 2 minis however can create a stereo pair.

That was not my experience. I ordered the 3G directly from AT&T and it was delivered the day after Launch Day. IIRC, I activated it by phone, but I definitely did it at home.

I was a newbie and just walked up to the Apple Store thinking I could buy one after a short wait. At the Apple Store, they wouldn’t complete the sale without activating it that year.

You didn’t read it then. You can’t pair a regular HomePod with a mini. That’s what the article says pretty clearly. You can pair two HomePods or two Minis.

Yep image on the article even has a check mark next to stereo pairing. Just can't mismatch a HomePod and mini to create a pair.

Yeah, it’s a total blast for me. I like being able to help the newbies, too. It’s nice to hang out with enthusiasts here.
Wish this Forum didn't just fall on it's face and die Friday when people get their phones. We should keep it up and actually talk about our phones we have spent a week drooling over and tracking. Looks like this will be the mini and Max thread as well so those who get their phones Friday can continue on with those waiting to order a mini or max if they want to.

I am on a family plan with t-mobile where my father-in-law is the primary account holder. However, I am a “Full Access” member and I’m the one that actually manages and pays for the account.

When I placed my order on Friday for the IUP and went to check out it listed my Father-in-law’s name and said he must be present to pick up the phone... At that point, I switched to home delivery, which is now coming to my house.

So, if I had stayed with picking up the phone, would he have had to be present? The line is in my name, I am paying with my credit card, I entered the IUP agreemend, and, as I mentioned, I am a “Full Access“ authorized user on the account.

Eh probably. I don't know that Apple would see enough account detail to see you had full access. If you where making account changes at a T-Mobile store it would be no issue because it would show that. But Apple just being a reseller to T-Mobile they may not.
