Also the SS rails are fingerprint magnets as expected, though I'd say it's a bit more noticeable with the flatter sides.
Believe they may hold the phones until Friday, original release date. They will sit until Thursday night and be out to deliver on Friday. Happened on my X before but maybe Apple wants boost fast shipping or UPS wants extra stock points lmao

Did you have the 8:34PM Depart Anchorage Facility update as well? I'm a little confused by the scan times and the flight time at this point.
The AK scans don’t match the flight at all though

Agree. See my earlier post about the (possibly) manually entered scans. Still have faith it's this flight though, given its unusual, irregular itinerary (PVG-CGO-ANC-SDF-ORD), and the fact that no other non-US cargo carrier outside of UPS itself would fly to SDF, and that Air China Cargo doesn't even have it as a searchable destination on their website. This has to be a special flight coordinated with UPS.

The flight was delayed leaving ANC, according to FlightAware. It could have had the departure scan when the flight was originally scheduled to depart, but was delayed after the departure scan. It is scheduled to land at SDF (Louisville, KY) at 12:24pm EDT.
Who is still Preparing to Ship with Friday 23rd delivery?
So our departure scans are 6 hours before the flight actually left. If they really are on an earlier plane, it could have landed 3.5 hours ago...
Most of us are. "Preparing to Ship" isn't 100% accurate. For US orders, Apple will mark it as shipped once it arrives in the US and has been imported.
It was scheduled to depart at 2:00 AM AKDT, so it's not really delayed (takeoff was at 2:31 AM). Actually expected to arrive SDF a bit early (scheduled arrival is 12:30 PM EDT).
The departure scan means it was loaded on the plane so it is no longer "at" the UPS facility. It doesn't mean that is when the plane departed.
What a nice surprise... I woke up and my iPhone is already in U.S. grounds! I expect "shipped" notification around tomorrow.
