Those summer release days! Fond memories. The days before pre-orders and shipping optionsAh would have been nice but 10/23 was promised so that is expected. I've pre-ordered every single iPhone after owning my first one in 2007.
In that timeframe I have only had one pre-order come in a day early. That was the iPhone 4. Release date June 24, 2010 and I remember the FedEx man dropping it off at my office on Thursday, June 23rd and I was like no way.
Good times.
Mine too, but the My Choice calendar shows tomorrow. Weird.
All those phones that left Anchorage last night are just chilling In a Louisville warehouse recovering from jet lag, maybe under the watchful eyes of The Creator Apple Overlords to ensure none escape early.

hey, I am in the same 10/19 6:40pm bunch. I did a little math and looked at how long other folks phones were sitting in zhengzhou before movement. We still have a few hours before any cause for concern. I am speculating that by the time I wake up there will have been some movement.
Apple is notorious for keeping the status at "Preparing to Ship" even though its in UPS's hands. Happens with every iPhone launch for me. Only the day before it arrives does the Apple status update.
Some people live near Seattle... usually packages go to where they’re going to be delivered to.
Guys, I would look at this change to the 10/23 ship date as movement at least, and that things are still in motion for everyone...

Is there a way to add the package to My Choice, it doesn't show up under that section on the site. However I can pull up my order and have been viewing it under my "recently tracked" section. UPS hates me.
I have not opened mine yet, and I refuse to until I get my phone delivered.
UPS' ORION (On-Road Integrated Optimization and Navigation) platform uses advanced algorithms, artificial intelligence and machine learning. It includes detailed turn-by-turn directions to guide drivers, not just to addresses, but to specific package drop-off and pickup locations like loading docks that are not visible from the street.
It saves UPS about 100 million miles and 10 million gallons of fuel per year. The latest generation also recalculates individual package delivery routes throughout the day as traffic conditions, pickup commitments and delivery orders change.
My guess is that it is very efficient.

My watch had the departure but then 2 days later got the arrival scan at KY. So I would expect tomorrow or thursday early.

Yup, no worries here. In all my years pre-ordering, I've never NOT gotten my phone on launch day. I've had times where I didn't see any movement until Thursday night!
