I feel you, I'm in the same boat. But I probably return it unopened (Environmental reason, who knows how they treate 1 week used phones...), as I decided to go for the Max. I lived so long without it, this few weeks more won't hurt .

BUT what you COULD DO (also I dont see any benefit)

Get it, open it, use it for 2 weeks, on almost the last day start the return, then you have at least another week to sent it back.

Just depends on a user experience. If the screen is too small. I'm returning it lol

I actually prefer the 6.7" screen lol perfect for pretty much everything. But I will enjoy the Pro model and make the best out of it

I couldn't do that I would be so scared, I still cover like 80% of my face with my blankets when I know its gonna be a jump scare or some bs. I can't handle it haha.

Oh man same here. Something happens when I watch scary movies and I end up with nightmares for weeks. Nope nope nope! 🙅🏻‍♀️

my wife has an se. i actually like the size and enjoy using her phone. i seriously considered the 12 mini but the extra ram and the hdr video at 60 fps made me go for the pro. oh and the new pro raw format.

I don't think there's anyone out there with a Wednesday delivery anymore. Apple probably got every single iPhone to be delivered on a Friday. They cracked it down.

The problem is that people are getting "numb" on cool features which they take for granted. They see the reviews of it and if the reviewer is not like: "HOL UP, THIS IS THE ****!!!" they also will be just like "meh, its nice." Also people probably are short on money due to obvious reasons.

I'm definitely looking forward to it as it will be my first Max model. I diggin so hard the camera for my astro photos.

Kinda off-topic but did you guys see how easily those magsafe wallets were coming off the phones in the reviews today? Sort of worried about how reliable they're going to be now 😬
That looks scary and unstable! The wallet came right off when he put the phone in his pocket.

Many people will go for the mini. Mostly women are going for the max. Many men don't like big phones in their pockets

I think iPhone 12 mini will be in high demand because of its peculiar size and portability. Possibly Pro Max will also be popular because of its new size and advanced cameras. I think Kuo said small phones are not popular in China so likely Pro Max will do good in China. Apple got 20-21 days extra since the first pre-orders, hopefully they are making a lot of promax and mini models and made available for everyone who wants on launch day.

I got the 12 Pro in pacific blue but only 128gb. I regret this decision. Should have gone with 256. Ugh.

Your tripping, orders are crazy for the 12 and 12 Pro, but yes the Mini and the Max have just as much fanfare also.

I found an unusual way to take my mind off compulsively checking phone delivery updates.

A wildfire! Very near my house in heavy redwood timber. Yikes! My first inkling that something was wrong was hearing a helicopter barely clear my house on the way to the pond across the street to pick up water. Never a good sign.

Then I heard fire retardant planes circling overhead. I got PulsePoint and Nixle alerts as I began madly packing up essentials if I had to bug out. I was evacuated from the CZU fire not that long ago, so my emergency packing skills are up to date unfortunately.

They managed to contain the fire in about an hour along with fire crews from all the neighboring mountain towns. 3 ground crews will stay overnight to put out any hot spots.

Huge props to the all the emergency personnel! They respond so quickly and are excellent. They contained this to under an acre. Doesn't sound like much, but every big fire starts out small if it isn't contained right away. This one was spreading quickly.

I never even thought about where my 12 Pro was for about 2 hours. Not that I recommend this way of getting through the wait. 🤣 I think I need a real world Margarita tonight and not a virtual one like during the party last night.

We have important papers, jewelry, electronics and chargers, etc.ready to go if necessary. List of things we would need to take right away. I hope it will rain someday so everyone can relax about the fires for awhile. The fires are not the kind of distraction from iPhone tracking that anyone needs to have. Glad you are okay and the fire is out.

Glory be to Apple. I finally got an update. It’s no longer 4 days still prepping for shipping, it is now 5 days and still preparing for shipment. Thank you.
