Why does 11 have a better view area when 12 Pro has the exact same screen size?

yeah and coming from a 6S Plus I don’t like how the max is heavier than my current device would feel like a downgrade whereas the pro is close in weight with a bigger screen
That's a great comparison picture. I think people will need to carry iphone 12 pro max in a shopping cart. Max is no longer a pocket thing for a guy.

Yess! It' makes a big difference. I don't think I'm going to like the iPhone pro Model it's too small lol.
Has this ever happened to anyone. My order on the Apple Store app still says “Preparing for Shipment.” Meanwhile I got a UPS MY choice notification my package from Apple is arriving tomorrow. It’s definitely my phone!

Update: I just submitted a request to pick up my iPhone at the CC Hub. Looks like I'll be driving there in the morning. Thank God! I'm off on Friday.
I bought a cheap ultra slim Pro Max case from Amazon and it’s really not much bigger than the 11 Pro Max. Holding in hand, it feels weird but then it’s the same size as my 11 Pro Max in a case. I went 12 Pro this year, but that case is tiny. Between the size and battery life, I’m pretty sure I’m going to end up not keeping it.
I was mainly just referring to my Apple order still showing preparing for shipment despite UPS showing me it already has several days of tracking history. Why didn’t the Apple order update?
In my experience, Apple never updates until the day before.
Yes that also happens every year. I don't know why, there are some pros here they can resolve yours and mine query too.
I think someone mentioned it not updating until phones officially clear customs, which ideally should happen by tomorrow morning, I think at that point we will start seeing our Apple order pages switching to "shipped".

i like everything about the pro max, especially the camera, extra battery and the screen size. But it is hard to fit the 11 pro max in my pocket on some pants and shorts and like I have already said I have some accessories that to use now I have to remove the case to use. slightly larger would make these accessories useless. I want the pro max but realize i’ll be better off with the 12 pro.
I’m so excited for the 12 Pro Max! I can’t wait to have a bigger screen than 6.5
Essentially came to the same conclusion, coming from my 11 Pro Max to the 12 Pro.
I feel the same way. At times 6.5 is too small for me. The look on my face when Apple confirmed the 12 Pro Max size was priceless. I’ve always liked bigger phones.
Honestly, if I can’t get a 2 hour confirmed window with UPS, I’m going to have mine held at the hub for pickup early that morning.
apple has never changed any of my preorders to shipped until the day before launch. for years this has happened. even though i can track for days before.

That's what I would do. It's worth going there and driving there yourself. UPS Driver will be very busy that day.
Females carry a purse but we men use pants pockets so I think that is what. The 11 pro max was so big in my pockets when walking. You can't even go to the gym with that in your pocket lol
Even though Apple increased the size of the 12 Pro from the 11 Pro’s 5.8 inches, I couldn’t bring myself to even consider the 12 Pro. The 12 Pro Max has everything I wanted especially with the camera system. I feel like I would be cheating myself if I had went with the 12 Pro vs the 12 Pro Max. Now if I had intentions of buying both phones, that would be a different story.
It’s a 35 minute drive for me, but I don’t mind and I could bribe my daughter with Chick-Fil-A or drop her off at grandma’s house until I get back home.
