Yeah it’s probably location. I just got one off Best Buy do you think it’s better to do in store pickup or delivery?
my concern with in store pickup is actual availability. I had one preordered at an apple store for pickup and something happened that they oversold. so I was out of luck. delivery is probably a bit safer.

I just changed it to delivery hope it don’t change the date from the 23rd. It shouldn’t.

Pickup is best, I picked AW6 recently from Apple store. It was a flawless experience. In my area UPS delivery guy comes at 6pm.

Take the screenshot and take off tomorrow. If they don't come to deliver by 1pm go to UPS CC and show them screenshot and tell them you took off from work. If they don't give you the iPhone then call Apple and tell them your story. Apple might allow you to get it tomorrow as an one time exception. Now email your boss, go to sleep fast and don't track anymore.
That's among the dumbest advice I have ever heard. The UPS CC isn't going to have a phone to give, it will still be in Louisville at best. Apple will just say, "Did we ever tell you the phone would come on Wednesday? No, we didn't, we said Friday. Now go away before we taunt you a second time!"

Results will be one wasted vacation day, a wasted drive to the CC, and wasted time on the phone with Apple. And still no phone before Friday.

Been watching this thread since last Friday. First time preordered and wasted some time so didn't get order in until 5:25am. Delivery was set for Nov 3-6.

Anyways, found this website that gives quick updates on stock inventory for local Apple Stores. Missed an available iPhone available in a local store a few hours ago, but another popped up and was able to grab a 256 PB 12 Pro in time. Set to pick up on 10/25 and cancelled my 11/3 order. Recommend folks with later delivery dates to use it and maybe you can get lucky as well!

It’s only showing stores in NY.

Um. No, no it’s not. You’ve been very lucky or you’re being sarcastic.
YouTube is full of videos showing how easily iPhone glass scratches with daily use, which I can verify by looking at my wife’s backup X that looks like she took a Brillo pad to it and went nuts. Compare this to my 11 Pro which had a Zagg protector on it right out of the box and looked factory new the day I sold it on eBay a month ago.

I have a front and back glass protector on my XS Max, which has saved the glass on both front and back from not cracking. I’m already looking for protectors for the back and camera lens. I already have 2.5D glass protectors in my cart for the front. Even though I’m getting AppleCare+, I want to avoid going into an Apple Store for repairs due to COVID and my all over the place work schedule. I only get 1 day off a week and I don’t want to spend that day in any store if I don’t have to.

If anyone is looking to still get one on launch day, check out Walmart.com if you have Verizon or ATT and are upgrading. still have 12's and 12Pros instock.

Verizon have a 256GB Pacific Blue arriving by 10/27. I’m better off just waiting for the 12 Pro Max preorder day. Plus I want to be wowed about the phone with the phone I really want. Coming from an XS Max, this will be a good upgrade for me.

One of the worst feelings was waking up at 2:50am to get my preorder in for the 7+ to receive on launch day and not get it on the original date I was quoted. In the end, my phone was still sitting in the UPS warehouse in KY for 1.5 weeks, and I had to reach out to higher ups at T-Mobile on Twitter to have my phone overnighted and a $100 credit on my account. From that moment on I was hesitant to preorder through T-Mobile again for the iPhone X, but it worked out fine and I was the first of my friends and coworkers to receive mine on launch day. From this year forward, I’m going to preorder through Apple.
I never liked how buying from a Carrier meant your iPhone came locked. The phone whether your paying the full $1200 today or spread out over 24 months is locked. If I buy it straight from Apple like I did finally this year, You get the fully unlocked model. I had to BS them last year to get it unlocked. I won't need to this year! lol

They have a location in Louisville piling up with outgoing iPhone packages, and no where to go... Mountains of iPhones presorted and in limbo.
Give it a few years, and I'm sure they'll be a docu series of how someone pulled off the heist of the century stealing a crate full of iPhones lol.

I’m feeling better. My daughter and I both had a doctor’s appointment on Monday morning so we skipped breakfast at home and ate at McDonald’s after the appointment. I fell asleep for 3 hours and woke up feeling like I was about to die. I called Kaiser and had a virtual appointment who said it was most likely food poisoning, and because of my symptoms I needed to take a COVID test before they allow me into a medical facility tomorrow evening. I can eat now but my stomach is still a little upset.

It took T-Mobile 3 days to unlock my XS Max to use on Verizon. I won’t be going that route again. Apple Store from here on out.

That happened to me last year. I had one reserved for in store pick up. I got the notification that day that my phone would be available at my appointment time. I drove all the way to the store. Which isn’t close to me. Just for them to say they sold my phone. And they were sorry. They kind of fixed it. By offering me a different color. Same storage size. Or they could have ordered me the correct phone. So I ended up leaving with a new phone. But not the color I wanted.
