I'm trying to think back to the iPhone Xs, X, and before ... did we get PFS and shipping details within 24 hours of order? I don't remember it going that fast previously. I didn't pre-order last year for the 11 Pro Max so I don't know if this is a new thing. I have PFS but no shipping details yet but I think even to get them tomorrow would be fast.

Wow! I can still order a 12 pro max 512gb blue NOW and still have 11/13 delivery. Crazy! Why did I wake up so early this morning?? 😆

I think they’re all coming from China. Doubt it it’s at UPS facility.
All accessories is stockpiled in the U.S.
Preordered a 512 GB Pacific Blue iPhone 12 Pro Max for AT&T on Apple.com as soon as the site went live. Also ordered a Baltic Blue leather case. iPhone is Preparing for Shipment and the leather case from Apple is showing it has Shipped via FedEx. Pretty excited for this new color. Always have gotten the silver but decided to change it up this year! 👍🏼

Long time iPhone user, first time ever preordering one. I went with the white 128 gb iPhone mini. It’s going to be a looong week.
I noticed most people are shipping directly to their homes. Am I the only one here who chose in-store pickup? They gave me a pickup time of 12:15-12:30 for the 13th.
if anyone here has ever chosen in-store pick up, I’m assuming they’ll hold my selected model, guaranteeing it’ll be in stock when I arrive?

correct. they’ll come out to you and scan your confirmation code. once that’s done they’ll go and bring your phone out to you. that’s the process here in Atlanta.
I have received the UPS tracking number. 
I have never met a female nerd stalker before. Nice to see the paradigm shifted away from us men for a change.
Most likely they will be held at the hub in Alaska till Monday. Then go to the hub in Minneapolis around Wednesday and then be sent out to us.

Even I have more for my mini although like you, I will probably return 1 or two. I always end up buying extra for emergency (non fashion) use and never use them.

Just trying not to let people get their hopes up. This isn’t an Amazon package. It’s a brand new phone from Apple with a street date. Delivering early violates a contract and it would result in someone getting fired or at the very least talked to or written up.
EDIT: not trying to be rude just trying to put it point blank: it’s not supposed to happen and almost never will unless it’s a big mistake.

People started receiving scans for pro models on a Saturday and Sunday too. Tracking started on Monday. It’s def going to be a long week.
