First time ordering through Apple with in-store pick-up. My phone order still shows as processing and my Apple Account balance has not been charged.

The leather case I ordered has been debited from my Apple balance and shows ready for pick-up.

Any guess when Apple will debit my balance for the phone?

i always get charged after I leave with the item from the Apple store but maybe it depends on the country. This was always one of the perks of doing in store pick up for me. Not getting charged unless I actually pick it up. I got my iPad Air 4 from amazon faster so I just didn’t pick it up from the Apple store. After a certain amount of days, it gets automatically cancelled by Apple.

Did the same with the iPhone now. If my delivery ends up showing up on Friday, I’ll just not get the one I ordered for in store pick up and it will be cancelled automatically

How is it better, besides allegedly being faster? I looked at the app on the store and the Deliveries app offers the same functions.

I use parcel. The widget is great, don’t have to leave home screen to see packages!

An update that here in Puerto Rico we can’t create an UPS My Choice account (Puerto Rico it’s not an option to select.)

But just do the "tracking by reference" with destination "United States" and the zip code and you will see something

Just a final update: If you live in Puerto Rico, you need to change the language in Spanish and then it will appear Puerto Rico as a territory/state 😅.

Although I can’t see my package there. I don’t know if it's because I just created the account or do I need to verify it please... Idk...

You will be charged when your phone enters shipping.

So I ordered phone and case this time. Case is ready for pickup even tho it says pick up 13th. And they charged me for the case and it cleared yesterday even tho I haven’t picked it up yet. Not the phone just case....

Like others after half hour arrival at the next Facility whatever that means. Pretty typical of last few years!

I seem to recall there sometimes is a bit of customs scanning as well, although mostly that is at the main hub of UPS in Louisville on Thursday.

Guys! I think the next step is to coming to the states - Anchorage, Alaska. This is iPhone Pro model shipment tracking progress notice how it landed in Alaska after the departure scan. We need to find a flight that’s coming to the states tomorrow.

Then it has to go through customs so it'll still be here by Friday (I know because the same experience happened with my 2019 MacBook Pro custom model)
