Just got an email from Apple that my mini's AppleCare+ is active. I won't have it another 5 days but they just start coverage on the day of purchase...:rolleyes:
They start coverage once the iPhone is activated, read the first few lines of the email they sent you ;)

Too many complaints on here in the past about UPS drivers never ringing the doorbell, or they ring it once and then take off before anyone can get to the door. Then you're stuck waiting until Monday. If you can, have them hold it at the CC and pick it up.
mine was shipped with FedEx

It is my understanding that UPS and Fed Ex don’t require a signature right now due to Covid-19. The driver will probably sling the box at the front door and leave.
 
UPS always labels the phone delivery as tentative from China. That gives them an out if customs takes longer or the weather is bad.

Well, since you brought that aspect up, the exception may be real for you. It all depends on your credit card and if they or UPS flags the shipment because the addresses don’t match. Hopefully, it wont be a problem for you.
 
All my pro max pre-orders show “in-transit” when I type in the order number minus last digit on UPS site. Shouldn’t I have received tracking details if they’re in transit?
Nope. Apple won’t send the “your item has shipped” email until Wednesday or Thursday. I’m not sure why they do that since we can get info before they tell us but that’s just how they are.

Another reason I will not attempt to change the delivery or request for hold is due to the fact that all CC’s are only open from like 2-4 around me. Plus, I have had horrible experiences trying to reroute or request any type of change to deliveries.
 
For those who have a tracking number, did the apple.com web site shows shipped? I have an issue I cannot create a new account with UPS. Looks like a long time ago I created one with a work email and last name and address is already associated with an old account. Therefore I cannot create one to try to track it.

i have a delivery date of 11/13 but apple says preparing to ship
I’m still seeing the preparing to ship even though I have the tracking number from UPS. Apple won’t tell me it shipped until Wednesday or Thursday.

That’s ups international. Verify delivery address and your name and they will give it the full tracking number. I posted this a while back.
Thing is that my first language is Spanish, it’s difficult for me to speak English. But I would wait until tomorrow to speak with a Spanish assistant. The situation here -in my case- is that I had a problem with the address on my order, Apple fixed it, but like 10 mins after it changed to "Preparing to ship". Just need to confirm if the label "got" the fix or not😱
