It is my understanding that UPS and Fed Ex don’t require a signature right now due to Covid-19. The driver will probably sling the box at the front door and leave.

No physical signature, but when hubby’s 12 delivered, the UPS driver wanted to be sure someone was home. He wasn’t our normal driver and dropped off really early, around 10AM, so maybe he was an additional driver for the day. Hope he does the same come Friday! 😁
 
Got my tracking info in My UPS for Friday delivery. Was going to do hold at the UPS store, but on top of it being $5 or $6, said it wouldn't arrive there until Monday.
Do you have a UPS Customer Center nearby?

Hopefully, you get the phone early. My UPS usually comes late afternoon.

Strange, i was on the phone with UPS scheduling my pickup at a customer center, and they mentioned NO charge whats so ever. Maybe thats to a local center into your city?.

I'm probably the last one reporting in, but as did many others, I woke up this morning to a tracking number in UPS My Choice. My wife's phone and mine both have "Arrived at Facility" in ZhengZhou.

You’re not last, that will probably be me, lol. Still processing here.

I’m going to watch the Bears game to keep distracted. Running errands wasn’t enough.

Well, since you brought that aspect up, the exception may be real for you. It all depends on your credit card and if they or UPS flags the shipment because the addresses don’t match. Hopefully, it wont be a problem for you.
Hopefully it works out! I’ve tried using a different shipping address in the past, but it’s always been blocked by the carrier itself when ordering from Apple (I used to be on AT&T but am now on Verizon). I’ve also used the credit card to order things to this address (and others) before, so I’m hopeful they won’t block it as well. I guess it’s up to UPS, but considering I have UPS my choice set up in my name I’d assume they recognize this address as mine

when I called, it was all automated, never mentioned about a charge, but I chose the customer service center, Not a UPS store.
 
Ordered a Pro Max 128 gig in graphite this morning for pick up Friday afternoon in Phoenix AZ... either they made a ton of phones or the demand isn’t there... as a shareholder that concerns me

Could be a little of both. Maybe people rather ship home than pick up in store, due to COVID; similar to mail-in ballots.
 
Nope. Apple won’t send the “your item has shipped” email until Wednesday or Thursday. I’m not sure why they do that since we can get info before they tell us but that’s just how they are.
Maybe they send out millions of shipping emails in every country so it’s super lagged. But you would think being so profitable you can keep up with ur system to actually do what it’s supposed to do, in a timely manner.

Even the refund is still the same way. I sent mine back and it didn’t update until after the refund was done. Went from “return started” to “return completed” and didn’t even move like the shipping status. I thought that was interesting too.

Guess I’m joining after all lol. Canceled my Best Buy pre order for other issues and joined in with an order today!
