Were you able to track via UPS track by reference? Most pre-orders if in U.S typically comes from China, so I would bet that yours is also in China right now. Apple's status won't change till at least Wednesday.

mine still says preparing to ship but I’ve had a tracking number for 48 hours. Apple is slow to update their systems.
Everyone here is still on preparing to ship. It will not change to shipped until Wednesday at the earliest from past experiences
UPS isn’t allowing you to track via reference anymore due to security concerns.

Yes you can, but very limited. I just tested. But yes you need UPS My Choice to see it in full details.
As I recall I first saw the ability to add the UPS CC after my iPhone 12 Pro was in Anchorage, or in Louisville. I did keep searching for it all week and suddenly it was included in the list.
Right now UPS CC is definitely not showing up as an option in neither the app nor in My Choice web page.
I do see some things have changed since just 3 weeks ago, including charges for changing delivery to a UPS Access Point. And My Choice Premium has gone from $40/year to $20/year, hopefully that pays off in a free change when I can finally change my pickup to the CC.

a lot of 9:20 got a departure scan.. we just didnt get lucky
I called today, and was able to schedule a pickup at my customer center CC free of charge, its strange i seen reports of people getting charged for doing it through the app or online.
For me the option for UPS CC pick up was available right after label was created and my iPhone 12 Pro was still in China at the time and I requested a UPS CC pick up even before it departed Zhengzhou.
Both of my orders had the 9:20 arrival scan. One has the 8:03 departure scan and the other doesn’t.

I completed my preorder at 5:04a, so it’s safe to assume my iPhone 12 Pro Max (Pacific Blue/512) is on one of the earlier flights. However, there’s been no change from “preparing to ship“. I have a UPS account and nothing there either.

seems like there was a cutoff in the pallet and one of them couldn't fit and stayed behind and catching the next flight.
