Do you guys know if I lose my Apple Watch / Health / Activity workouts if I setup as new? I just started doing iCloud backups vs old school iTunes wired backups. Been dying to set up as new due to the same kind of bugginess (especially around my AirPods and AirPlay/Bluetooth) but I don't want to lose my Apple Watch workouts, badges, progress.
I'm 99% sure it'll be 14.1 because 14.2 only went to GM/release the day of preorders. Two more days and we'll all know! Yayyy 👍

Yeah they were a nightmare back when my 7 Plus had a shipping delay and wouldn’t give me any concrete info. I think a whole plane sat on a tarmac that year due to a storm in AK or something. And they didn’t rush to get things sorted out until after the weekend
Do not have bug problems that I know of setting up new requires all the passwords, accounts and such I use to be manually entered, photos I store a lot of work since I do not use icloud/drive to store all my photos ect
Zollotech’s review of pro max shows that he had to update the phone out of the box to 14.2 so he could restore. I haven’t updated my 11 pro max on purpose till Friday!

I would suggest turn on iCloud and sync everything. Once you set your new device up everything will sync back in. 😅
Everyone. The status on your order won't flipped to "Shipped" until it clears customs in Louisville, probably sometime today or tomorrow.
All you have to do is update the new phone out of the box to 14.2 and then restore.
What type of cable do you use? Lightening to USB-A? Or thunderbolt? I have used the USB-A before but it is painfully slow. Could also be the age of my iMac though.

I think the best better life ever was on iPhone 11 Pro Max. Missing this bad boy everyday. Apple nailed the battery life with that one. Trust and believe.

I remember! Was that the typhoon year? Just came across this screen cap of the...unique route our shipments had to take.
It’s a pain but to avoid any potential glitches (I bricked a phone once) just set it up as a new phone, upgrade to 14.2, then restore from your current 14.2 backup. I don’t want to do all that, so that’s why I’ll just wait. Or wait for others to say what the Max comes with on Friday since UPS doesn’t come until late on iPhone day here

Ya, we were all asking for it and they finally gave it to us for the 11PM. Now they takeith awayith. its only 10% less but still it should never be less than previous years, plus i am a heavy user so it will affect me one way or another. If we are max users we are use to the bigness, why not put in at least the same size as last year. Who cares if thicker!! Only Apple would go back! frustrating!
