I don’t see any flights being scheduled right now for today. But this will get update later today. Hoping to see some scans in tonight.

Well,

I was able to find the last 4 of tracking using this method and it shows In Transit 11/13 delivery.

However, I’ve updated MyChoice with any information I can think of to get the tracking to show with no luck.

Just finished a live chat with UPS and they “couldn’t find the full tracking” and “I knew more about the shipment than they did.”

I had the same issue and realized that my email address in UPS account and Apple order shipping email address was different. I created new UPS account using same email address in Apple shipping email address which resolved the issue.

I'm planning on doing a restore from a Mac to set up the new phone .... My current phone and backup is on IOS 14.2 and I understand the new phone is on IOS 14.1.

What's the consensus on needing to set up and update the new phone to 14.2, then erase and do the restore. Or will the update start first before starting the restore.

The instructions on Apple Support say "you might see an error that the backup can't be restored because software on your device is too old". Don't want to brick this thing.

That's exactly what I've done every single year. Since I'm in the developer beta, I just put the phone on the most recent developer beta (without my credentials), wipe the device to sign in w/ my Apple credentials and I'm all set afterward.

I think this year I'll also theme the phone (since there's many options for that too)

That’s the one that left earlier after a delay. Since we didn’t have scans, I figured that one wasn’t it, but you’re right in that updates will probably come later during the day.

I don’t think we’ll see any activity in the next 8-10 hours. It is currently 1:54AM in China.

Expect the flights to show up later today. We’re definitely getting a new scan today and getting the heck out of China. They will upload the plane with new pallets of iPhone.

This is exactly my situation. As much as I hate to say it, I’m glad I’m not alone! 😉 I was sort of worried my lack of info might have something to do with getting married in Feb. just before COVID shut everything down, so like half of my stuff is in my married name and half is still my maiden name (married name on Apple acct & maiden name on the credit card, etc.), so this makes me feel a TAD better. I hope we all get some kind of info soon!!

I also wonder if some might already be stateside. That happened to me a few years ago and I didn’t get any kind of info/tracking until maybe Thursday? That launch was a drag and a half.

Your phone can get from China to you in 24 hours. If it’s says delivered on the 13th you’ll get it on the 13th. If you have UPS MyChoice you should be able to see it there. My still says preparing to ship on the Apple Store but I can see on MyChoice that it left Alaska at 2:34am.

unfortunately, Apple sends mine by Fed EX and nothing is showing with the Fed Ex App. I had the iPhone 12 Pro last month delivered by Fed EX and had tracking notices then. Is the UPS choice the expedited one for you?

Nah. My iPad Air arrived in KY 12:13am on 10/30 and had destination scan in Virginia Beach at 8:07am the same day. That journey left Incheon 10/30 at 1:34am local (1:34pm EST on 10/29). In other words, these phones could leave ZZ or Incheon noon’ish tomorrow EST and still get delivered Friday. Knock wood 🙂

Import scan needs to happen tomorrow in Kentucky though. Also, it’s a good roughly 8 hour flight from CGO (China) to ( Alaska) PANC - then - additional 7 hour flight from PANC to Kentucky.
