At least with Verizon upgrading from the play more unlimited to the 5GUW play more unlimited they didn't charge more. They did however remove the included apple music subscription, but added a Hulu/Disney/ESPN subscription, so it's a wash for me since I use both.
I guess it depends on use case. For me it was worth the upgrade for the 30gb hotspot alone, plus, the 100gb until throttle didn’t hurt.
That UPS truck tracking is worthless. It keeps showing and stating “in your neighborhood” all day long. Then, as always the UPS driver knocks on my door after I’m already in bed and it’s always for an Apple product that I have been waiting all day forLOL my AW6 UPS package from Oct is still listed as Delay: Needs Attention. I thought I was doing myself a favor by changing the delivery to a Walgreens near my work. I get the "Follow your driver" email that morning with a delivery window of 9am-12pm, well I followed trucks driving around the city on the map for 3 hours, then it updated to Delivers by 9:00pm.....at 6:00pm I gave up and went over to Walgreens, turned out they already got their UPS truck for the day.
So I figured I'd just wait until the next day.
Went home and sure enough at 9:00pm UPS drops off my watch at my house. The next day I get an email from UPS to make sure I go to Walgreens to pick it up. Tracking (both UPS and my Apple account) still show it as not delivered yet
It is just a matter of time before Verizon jumps on the bandwagon and starts charging another $20 a month for each line

I can't seem to change the delivery to hold at my local hub. I can change it to the UPS store but not the hub...? anyone able to hold it at the hub?
Yes, I did. It’s actually saving me a few dollars each month over what I had been paying. No HBO Max or anything on old 30gb a month plan with rollover data. I went on a 5g locator map and saw that it’s available literally half a block away from me.
Yeah I’m definitely not upgrading to Play More, I’m in the suburbs so I won’t get 5GUW. I imagine over time as it becomes more widespread and more available, they’ll include it in their base plan, but we’re still a far way off.
Ya my son use’s mine for his iPad on the road. And we always went over our monthly on old plan. But with such an increase in price not for me..
although I was just told on the Reddit ATT thread that these fees are widely over estimated and it’s probably not right. Freaking hope so

It never showed up for me even after import scan. I called ups international, and they processed the hold for pickup at the CC. They verified the CC with me on the call.
Probably, but In my experience they are usually pretty good at letting you keep your current plan even if they phase it out. Somewhere down the line they always get you though.
I think even our highly featured VERIZON carrier (in the keynote) wants you to upgrade to the 5G plan. I'll pay extra when it's worth the extra and NOT BEFORE. Ha!

Really? Dang I jumped up big! I had HBO max on my old plan and unlimited so I don’t think I can hit those numbers yet. Oh well now, 4G plans are no longer available.
well before you get excited, wait till you test it. I was excited too till I tested and it was worse then 4G in my town!
I have 24 - 26 hrs (or so) to go until my mini is delivered.
Where were you when I was thinking of switching?! I knew I shouid have stayed on 4G...??
You need to request a hold for pick up at UPS CC over the phone or e-mail them.
One of these two flights better have my phone on it.....preferably the first one
