Well just peeked in on the Australia thread, and starting on page 11, people are posting pictures of their new iPhones. One picture confirms the iPhone ships with iOS 14.1. They’re updating to 14.2.
So if we updated to 14.2 already, how do we restore onto the new device? I was kinda following along yesterday when peeps were saying to set up as new first?

Just curious, have others been able to redirect their iPhones to your local UPS Customer Center? I don't know if it's a COVID thing or the particular Customer Center I live near (Tacoma, WA), but only UPS stores and such show up for me when I try to redirect. Just going to sit around at home rather than risk it taking an extra day to be delivered elsewhere, but I know I've gotten UPS deliveries from 10AM-8PM at home so
Well, yes. Many us either called or emailed UPS to change it. I called today and had it rerouted to the CC.

You can set up as new, update to 14.2, then restore from backup.

Also, if you start with the restore from backup, the new iphone will either tell you to update to 14.2 first, or it might prompt you to update, then complete the restore after it’s updated.

I thought they do usually ship the day before? Do you have nov 13 delivery?
Yes. However I got an email from
Apple today with the tracking no, it’s been in the US since November 10, having left China on November 8. Funnily, it’s not snowing up on my UPS list of inbound packages on UPS mychoice. But looks like apple is gonna have a 100% delivery rate with me from the iPhone 4 through 12. Impressive.

While we are feeding our UPS habit. Might as well find out where everyone is from?
