So, we all expect a massive thread to begin tomorrow along the lines of “The 12 Pro Max is too big, too heavy!” etc. It happens every year, and this year’s model will indeed be bigger and heavier. I predict that I will not be amongst that crowd. 😃
Don’t forget about yellow screen, it came out of the box scratched (only visible when magnified 100x), when I press the screen really hard, I see distortion, etc.

Yeah, it’s odly familiar as the iPhone 11 Pro max and I really don’t feel it to be heavier, even if the tech spec says so. Honestly, you’ll only see the size difference when they are side by side and since I don’t have my 11 pro max with me anymore, it feels like it’s just the same. But there will always be those who is very hard to please and definitely, I expect it too.

I have an exception notification on my tracking....hopefully it's just the hold at CC that hasn't shown up on the web site

Mine isn’t showing but I called the automated number and spoke with someone who checked for me and it’s showing the hold I have. He said I should be expecting an email once it arrives at my hub and checked in, that it’s ready for pickup at 10am baby!!!!

It has been so much fun traveling with you on this journey! Hope to see you next year as I’ll definitely be back and hopefully get to participate in the thread more. I’m off for the next 2 days so I get to enjoy my new phone longer than I anticipated

I stopped using screen protectors and it’s 1000x better. My iPhone XS looks perfectly fine with heavy usage.
I stopped using screen protectors after I break my iPhone 6 plus 3 times a year. There were twice that my screen actually break but the screen protector was fine. From then I never use it again. Also screen protector is much softer than the actually screen. It's easier to scratch on a screen proctor and makes my phone looks messy.

I can’t wait to be viewing this thread tomorrow on my new shiny iPhone. Hope everyone’s deliveries go smooth tomorrow!!

Still no updates on my end. Departed KY, but I’m sure it’ll be in my home state tonight.
I've had mine sit in Louisville until the middle of the night on Friday morning and it still made launch day -- I was surprised. I'm west though (AZ), so gaining time on the flights. Fingers crossed for you! ?

I never use the screen protector. I spent 1000 $ for that screen. I don't want it stay behind a cheep screen protector until it break. Screen protector most likely won't work if your screen want to break.
One of the reasons why I upgraded is bec. since the screen is now flat, I can put a thin (not tempered glass) flexible screen protector again. I just put mine and it’s like there is no screen protector at all! I haven’t used one since iphone 6 and you’re forced to use tempered glass and now I’m so happy to go back to the days where screen protectors doesn’t have to be made of glass.

Here’s the brand I got:

SupRShield Hydrogel Full Cover Guard

i bought the magnetic case for my iphone 11 pro max and i did not like it at all. it didnt last long.
1. you have to tap/press hard if your texting or surfing the web or opening/closing apps.
2. when you receive a call its really hard to slide to accept it that means you have to open the case.
3. when you drop the case either from 2 to 5 feet many times the case will be useless, some magnet will fall or lose. it wont close anymore.

as you can see that it only has 2 ratings out of 5. in conclusion dont get it.
i purchased the silicon clear case for iphone 12 pro max and yes i got it today and so far its nice.

I really would advise strongly against not using a screen protector. I have an iphone 11 and the screen is super soft, it scratched in the first day of owning it and I had been really careful including carrying it to and from work in its box instead of in a pocket or backpack. I noticed the scratch (a pretty deep one) when installing my screen protector the next day when it arrived. There was evidence of manufacturing variability between lots, and you don't know if you got a bad lot unless is scratches and if it does, that's not covered by applecare. Up to you of course if you want to risk it but a screen protector is cheap insurance against scratch damage.
