This has seriously been such fun. I registered just to take part in this thread and everyone here is so nice. Nobody making each other feel stupid or crazy for being this jazzed over a new phone(aside from a couple of isolated party-poopers of course), just cool people having fun stalking UPS flights together. At the risk of getting too cheesy, it's been really nice to have something to get excited about after such a crappy year.
No, it’s not cheesy at all. 2020 hasn’t been kind to many. Knowing my own challenges this year, I know that you never know what someone else is going through behind their avatar. If there was ever a moment to just look beyond yourself and be a little light for someone else to make it another day, now is the time. I was serious before and still am that I’m happy people from around the world can come together and connect over what we have in common. Puts a check mark in the things to be grateful for and a fond memory to reference in the future.
I appreciated this first Apple iPhone pre-order experience. Everyone has been wonderful. I’ve been on MR a long time, so I’m used to the snark and unemotional tech focus on the forums, but this was so refreshing. It felt like being around a group of friends. Fun, helpful, supportive. This is the way it should be - Tech enthusiasts and geeks sharing in the full joy and excitement of a launch day.
