Then there are people like me, so obsessive that we can not stand a single red dot and have to clear every one within seconds. I know I should learn to relax more!:):apple:
You are not alone! :)
Those red badges may drive some crazy, for many...basically "who gives a -"
I HAD one red mail badge, opened the email . from "Apple - Apple iPhone 12 Mini, 12 Pro Max available now" (Oh...cool. Thanks!) LOL

They attempted delivery for my HomePod today. Couldn't find my apartment (FedEx never does) so I'll have to pick it up from their store later.

Surprised it came early.
The last apt I lived in was like that. The slumlord who owned it, for some reason, labeled the garages with the apartment numbers (we were on the beach and in a stilt building, so the garages were the first floor and the apts started on the 2nd floor) so most of the time, UPS and/or FedEx would deliver packages to our storage unit, to a random apt, or leave them at the bottom of 2 flights of stairs (that one was my personal fave, especially for heavy boxes from Chewy). For the last iPhone launch I was there, I wrote a huge note stating that I was home, that my home was at the top of the stairs, and please don’t leave without knocking on the door. Lol.

Apple's server meltdown yesterday has made my setup process, much easier today. On new phone day I am usually on a beta release. So I have to temp set up the new phone and install the beta profile -then upgrade to the beta. After that I factory reset and properly setup including restoring my backup from iCloud. This year I'm on release (I did not get 14.3 yesterday before it was pulled) So set the phone next to the old one and let it do the auto transfer. Done!

I got 14.3 this morning on my work 12Pro. Been watching the map and keep refreshing because I swear the UPS guy is taking the scenic route to my house lol.

My UPS truck looks to jut be doing loops around my house in a 1 mile radius like an allegory for my slow spiral of madness waiting for it.

Couldn't you go out and get it from the driver as long as you have your ID? not sure if drivers do that or not.
